But overall positives to be had. For too long we have had players that aren't comfortable on the ball, that don't look to play with their teammates. In Cunha and Mbuemo we have that. Amad needs to be on the pitch, he's such a good player. I thought that we had a lot of width today and as time goes on and the players gel, we will start utilizing it better. Ugarte is far too limited, we need a player that can progress the ball far better than he can. I thought Mount was very good today and if he can keep fit, it will be a decent addition to the squad. The less said about the keepers the better, we can't give soft goals away like that if we want to start pushing on. Overall we we're much the better team.

Ref did his best for you today

If he'd wanted, he could have disallowed the goal and given us a penalty.
I'm not saying for a second that he should have done, but "you've seen them given", as they say. If he'd been a homer he could have favoured us one or both times.

Once again I have to highlight that you as a Utd fan have been so spoiled for so long that you would say something ridiculous like that

You didn't read it, did you? I said clearly I'm not saying he should have given either our way. He COULD have given a foul for the goal (more on Mount, whose shirt was nearly off his back, than on Bayındır). But as Cunha was also wrestling someone, we can't complain.
As for the penalty... it would have been soft, but outside the box you tend to get them - whoever you support. No complaints from me on either decision, but it's plain silly to suggest the ref favoured United.

Exactly, you're arguing about decisions you know aren't nailed on because you're used to getting everything 50/50 against us

We were obviously rubbish today, but in past years it had a feeling of you dragging us down to your level, but today it felt like it was different - there was more to you in terms of getting the better of us and stretching us, was just lacking in terms of cohesion up front.
That said, these games are always outliers so it's hard to take too much from it but I think you'll have a decent season unfortunately.
Think it would have been a joke if the goal got disallowed, but the pen shout probably falls in that weird area where VAR will never overturn it whichever way it's given.

Arguing by saying I ultimately agreed with one and accepted the other?
You were the one complaining about the referee. A couple of people have calmly explained where you've gone wrong.

Hmm I've not complained about the ref, I've just pointed out where Utd fans expectations have gone after years of bias

This was you, wasn't it? Literally the first comment on here?
I would not have thought to mention the ref were it not for this. As I've said, they were two run-of-the-mill decisions and not why we lost.
