2 games, 0 clean sheets and 0 goals scored by our players, should we be moving quickly to bring in a midfielder before the window closes?

I think we all know how good we became when we stuck by a manager for FOUR yes 4 seasons.
Has any United manager since been given a similar amount of time to bring what we deem success back to the club?

The problem is the system and the structure.
Have said it after I saw the first few games with us playing it, and will stand by it until he gets the boot.
He will either change his system, or he will be sacked. We all know which will come first.
Whatever way you try to justify it, I don’t care. He has 7 wins in 29 premier league games, which is almost unbelievably bad for a club of our size, and proof this way of playing simply doesn’t work consistently at this level.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In 27 of those games it wasn't his team.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So why didn’t he play in a way that was conducive to getting the best result with the available resources?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because he was brought in to apply his style of play. ETH strayed from his system and he gor the boot for it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Incorrect.
He was brought in to win football matches. That’s his job.
He was stubborn / inflexible with his system last season to the point of it costing the team wins.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why do you guys love short cuts, quick wins. Every single manager who has come in both great and small has said the same damn thing. Only Amorim has actually done the actual deed of actual surgery instead of make up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This. I do feel like ETH attempted it too but was not given the time.
If you want major changes you try something new; which in our case is to actually stick by a manager for a period of time rather than sacked in 2 years and repeat the cycle all over again.
------------------------------------------------------------
There are maybe 3 on this forum who have already declared themselves amorim out. Other than that I haven't seen any wholesale calls for his head

You will soon, just like we did with ETH, even though he was winning us trophies.

People said the problem with LVG was “the system”. The problem with Mourinho was the system. The problem with Ole was the system. The problem with Rangnick…
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Almost like we should stop appointing crap managers and waiting too long to sack them when it’s obvious our season is going to shiiiiit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The five managers prior to Amorim had won between them over 40 European trophies and European league titles.
I don't think this has been all about the managers, and in my very humble opinion, I don't think changing the manager every six months would have seen us in a materially better position.

I also cannot believe we're even discussing a head coach's position two games into a new season
We're likely months and months away from what *might be* this team gelling properly. Sesko has played a total of 60 mins in a league completely new to him. Cunha and Mbeumo have played two games.
Patience, children.

It hasn’t all been about them obviously, but they were all clearly problems.
But none as big a problem as Amorom. He’s got one of the worst ever prem records of any manager, let alone United manager.

Incorrect. He was brought in to coach and train and instruct a group of players to win matches.
Joking aside, ETH has said he should have stuck to his system. Amorim has spoke about the importance of sticking to his plan. The club have said as much, and Rashford recently commented how the club needs a plan and to stick with it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Great.
Do you think Rubens plan is working / looks like it will start working soon?
And actually it is a managers job to win games. That’s why they get fired when they don’t.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Incorrect. It is not a managers job to win football games
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But it's mostly their fault when we lose or drop points yeah?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It was a tongue in cheek comment that appeared to have gone over a few people's heads.
Little Steve is the one who said managers are not brought in to win football games. I was just being factitious.

Seems like only last year he was the best young CM in the world? Some even said generational talent?

Usual overhype out of control, he was neither. My favourite was scholes (showing that a great player can also be a facking idiotic pundit) saying that he was the next Zidane. one of the most idiotic things I’ve ever heard
