In what world?
‘Controversial late penalty’

I think the Mount one was the correct decision to overturn the penalty but surely United should have had s free kick from it though!

Ref bottled it imo. If he gave the foul surely there was a decision to be made on Walker or was there cover behind him?

Seriously dumb from the Burnley player and it was definitely a foul. Only question whether it was outside the box but looked like it continued on into the box. So they got it right. A rare good use of VAR on a shambolic weekend again otherwise.

Funny how Scott Parker didn't complain about VAR reversing United's pen that the ref had given much earlier in the match.

What was worse is that no foul at all was given. If no foul was given Mount should have been booked for diving.

Plus their offside goal, was offside by a hair.

So it was offside then

Yeh, in today's rules, it's still shiiit though. The forward had no physical advantage or headstart in comparison to our defenders.

Pull a shirt and it's continued inside the box and then he's gone down. Sure he made the most of it, but it's a penalty.

I don't know the rules clearly, but if the foul happens outside the box, surely the free kick should be given where the foul started.
Amad dived as soon as he hit the penalty box line.
Crap rule IMO
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, you don't know the rules. If he stopped tugging outside the box it would have been a free kick. But he continued and went into the box, and then he fell, which makes it a penalty. Of course Amad makes the most of it, but as I said, any player would.
Not sure how it is a crap rule, the foul which caused him to fall was inside the box, not when it started outside - now we know that the shirt pull may not have cause him to fall at all, but that's an entirely different question whether inside or outside the box.
And any team would be expecting a player to fall/dive in similar situation.
And most of above is Ref's interpretation, not mine
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Whether he goes down or not is immaterial as far as the infringement is concerned. It might make a difference as to whether or not the ref spots it, but it shouldn’t make any difference to the decision.
The only question is whether the foul is committed outside or inside the box. It looked outside to me at first, and I haven’t looked too carefully at any replay; but it’s a foul, undoubtedly.

made me laugh when the ref had to say for an extended shirt pull, i mean it was like half a second wasnt it?

But the interpretation by falling in the box is that it was only then that the foul caused him not to get the ball. And the only way Amad can put that in the ref's head is less face it, diving to the ground once in the box.
If Amad doesn't go down at all, there's an argument that the foul is outside the box. It's actually pretty clever by Amad.
But ultimately the pen has been given, and the main point is that it's not really that controversial

I see PGMOL have causally apologised for the Fulham goal wrongly disallowed, seriously incompetent or seriously biased ?

The var official who recommended the review has also been dropped for suggesting it was an obvious error from the ref. What about dropping the ref as well? Surely it should be the ref who is punished as its his decision that is final?
