I'm sure I read a few years ago that these manager pay offs are slightly exaggerated.

Technically speaking if they have 3 years remaining on their deal and they don't get another job in that time frame then they are entitled to 3 years of pay. However I'm sure there's small print in these contracts that if they take another job they only get a small chunk of it.

Otherwise you'd have managers on £10 a year contracts earning double or even treble in some rarer cases if they had been sacked twice in the last 2 years.

Either way it's definitely a nice deal for them and makes a mockery really that you can be financially rewarded for being crap

Can’t stand mourinho. All the money he spends and he still plays anti football. Gave up my ticket when levy sacked Poch to appoint him and his defensive nonsense.

Even so, managers like Mourinho are wealthy men. And why not? Given all the sheit they get.
