Does anyone else think that the current state of war between Celtic fans and the board is just a tad OTT ?
I mean
1. For the past decade and more we have been on the most successful run in terms of winning trophies in the clubs history
2. We are in the healthiest financial position in the clubs history
Yes the last transfer window was hugely disappointing but at the end of the day if Ajax hadnt come in for Dolberg and we had signed him would anybody really be losing the plot like they are now???
We are coming across as a spoiled entitled bunch of whanks !!!
Its time to get back to just supporting the team on the park instead of all this external rabid nonsense thats happening with votes of no confidence etc etc
I mean our new signings must be wondering what kind of basket case scenario they have got involved in???
Im old enough to remember the war against the previous board when Fergus came in to help oust them but that was a totally different different scenario ie they had bled the club dry and were on the brink of going to the wall ,today on the other hand we are by far the richest team in the country and recognised as one of the best run clubs around!!!
The board have failed to deliver in this window mainly due to Ajax jumping in at the last hour to take Dolberg who BTW may well have been keeping his options open to see if we secured CL before committing ?Who knows what happened?none of us thats for sure!!
Brendan is not blameless in all this either it looks like the toys are out the pram with his Europa league selections or rather non selections!!
Its looking like this season is going to be a struggle the last thing we need is fans boycotting and demonstrating ! how the feck must this look to fans of other teams!!
Way OTT !!!

Rangers never confirmed a length of contract when signing him, only that it was a long term deal. Reports at the time of signing were it was 4.5 year deal through to 2027.
Transfermarkt and a few others have it as 2028 but the Scottish media seem to think it's 2027.
fwiw I think it's 2027 but nobody has it as 2026.

Good to see Rodgers being pretty open in his press conference today. Only person he didn’t name was Lawwell, and looks like he believes he’s the biggest rat in the camp.

Yeah rodgers certainly gave the board both barrells today.
Shocking the board are trying to force him out the door when he is our 2nd most succesfull manager.

Following a meeting between Martin and Raskin, it's confirmed Raskin will not be in the squad for Hearts.
Seemed like this was a meeting to kiss and make up but clearly not. Fans are going to go for Martin big time this weekend
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tomorrows game is already a must win in the fans eyes.
All Martin is doing with this is heaping even more pressure on himself to win.
Martin has zero credit in the fans eyes. Persisting with leaving out Raskin just alienates himself even further from the fans.
I am sure Raskin has acted up. But I am also pretty sure it came from a place of wanting both himself and the team to perform better. Martin needs more guys in the team like Raskin that genuinely care not fewer.
Martin is taking another big risk with this. Nothing less than a convincing win and performance tomorrow will do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Brussel Martin is a transformer manager so stop slagging the poor guy ffs! lol 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I wasn’t actually slagging Martin off on this occasion.😂
I just think he is making a hard job even harder for himself with the Raskin situation.
I get that if Raskin has undermined the manager by say criticising his tactics or team selection etc in front of the rest of the players then that cannot be tolerated.
But dealing with this situation with maturity for the best outcomes of the team would demonstrate strong leadership for once from Martin. And the best outcome would be to start Raskin in midfield with the armband on IMO.
Raskin turned down the chance to leave so he fundamentally must think he can work with the manager going forward.
So it’s really up to Martin as the senior guy to make that happen ASAP. Raskin is desperate to play for Rangers and desperate to do well.
Instead we will probably have Joe Rothwell sitting in at 6 looking burst after 15 minutes and as bemused about what’s required to play for Rangers as he has done since he arrived.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Has Raskin signed a new contract?
Maybe that's why he decided to stay?
He's a free agent in June '26.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe he decided to stay because he thought the manager is going to be sacked soon and then he will work with whoever comes in next i.e. Barry Ferguson

Usually Celtic release the presser on a Friday avo. Not sure why they’ve forgotten this week.
