Too old or PL?

That’s the question.
I have been a member of this place called ja606 since the beginning.
Very amusing and interesting place to be if you’re a Leeds fan. Been a rollercoaster for many years. But now things seem to be slowing down considerably. Articles are like hens teeth these days.

So what do you put that down to? We are just too old? I know it’s the international break, but it’s like this now anyway. Seems to me that the Premier League puts the brakes on comments and debate. We have nothing to moan about in general 😂😂. Yeah we can debate whether or not we are gonna stay up, but basically Leeds are now on solid ground and we find it boring??
Please enlighten me. I personally love being in the PL because that’s where we need to be. But maybe we need to be in the relegation zone to get the juices flowing 😊.

It’s the realisation that you’re merely there to make the numbers up.

Competing on one of the most uneven playing fields in sporting history, aiming for at best an eighth place Conference League spot. Watching your best players leave every summer just to sit on subs benches in Manchester or on Merseyside.

There’s not much to write home about really.

Infiniteone, we had a conversation some weeks ago
reference the status of clubs in the Premier League.
Personally I think this 2025/26 season might well be
the most important for discussion on radical reform on
the future of the PL…the economics of clubs to make
the League more competitive.

If this current season turns out to be the playbook of
past seasons where only 4 clubs have a realistic
chance of being champions and the relegation of 2/3
clubs that have been promoted, get relegated straight
back to the ‘2nd division’….then this predictable league
table of positions will be self evident that changes
should be made.

I don’t think you can have a league where the same
small ‘elite’ clubs gain all the economic wealth, season
after season, and the majority of clubs have to scrap
for small compensations.

There will be always be the club that finishes 1st and
the clubs at the bottom…but could we not have it as
predictable?

I will be, with more than a passing interest, watching
how this season pans out, looking for the prospect of
radical reform…but I won’t be holding my breath, but
maybe, who knows?

You probably want a couple of years of steady eddie type performances/results to keep you up.
