I've never got annoyance over this statement personally, kebab mentioned this a million times on here..

maybe next time, he'll say "I can't do contracts, but put yer faith in me regardless"...

in fact, I'll take this a step further in my personal life.. have been at my current job nearly ten years, but if I ever did leave, and found myself in an interview for another job instead of trying to appear confidant I'll just say something like 'yeah I'm best you'll have until my probation is up, then I'll spend the next 9 and half years using the works phone to sort out all my insurance / banking, when I am in the office I'll spend a considerable amount of time chatting up the birds in sales in the kitchen, and taking the p 1 ss out of my pals, whilst talking football every Monday.
