I Don't Want Kane Back!

I bound to be in the minority, but I think we did what we early do. Sold at top dollar before the decline.

No doubt he is still a top player and if he turned out for us tomorrow, he'd be a huge asset. But if he came to us after the world cup, I think the clause is about £60 million, plus the huge wages.

On top of that, does he suit what Frank wants to do. We also don't know what his decline will be. I appreciate he looks after himself, but you just don't know.

As I said, for long term improvement, I'd avoid.

How small a minority am I in?

Assuming its a deal that could be done....

I am not sure you could spend £60m and get more goals than Kane would deliver, so as long as we still go for a quality LW and DM/CM then it would be fine for 2-3 years, even if the latter end of that he's being properly phased out.

If we dont get him back im not bothered.

A pretty reasonable argument. I won't be storming the barricades if we did, but think it'd be better for the team if it didn't happen.

Also, I read that if he wants to activate the clause, he has to say so in January, can't see that happening.

If it’s a choice of Kane or semenyo it’s the latter but think he will be at Liverpool or city

Kane is just a much better version of sheringham ….such a great football brain but a better goal scorer and passer

I think Kane comes back in the summer , just have a feeling

There will be a decline of course but it will be a slow burner not like a player who relies on pace and I don’t see a decline happening til 35/36

He'll be back one day for sure... he loves Spurs and he wants Shearer's record. But he is loving it at Bayern so will probably stay there another 2 or 3 years.

How old was Lewa when he went to Barca? He's still been pretty prolific for them since?

Kane might be getting on but he’s ridiculously good so yeah, I think you are in the minority.

Kane is so good at putting the ball in the net you should set your team up to accommodate him

He'd improve the present team drastically, what's not to like about that

Thomas Frank on interest in Harry Kane & Ivan Toney:

"Let’s put it this way, they’re two very very good players, both of them. Harry Kane is a legend. I said in the press conference the other day, if he wants to come back he’s more than welcome.

Of course Ivan Toney I coached for a few years, top player, top guy, very good striker so let’s see what happens in the future."

Kane would be a tremendous asset to the current squad. Frank would have to think very hard how to set the squad up to accommodate him.
However odds are it ain't happening this year.
