Wolves v Chelsea Match Thread

Caught the last 5 minutes plus added. Slapstick stuff all round by the look of it. Good entertainment for the lad from work and his son who had my tickets though.

So last night at least we saw that two more of our summer signings are more than capable and should arguably be starting games in Arokodare and Wolfe. Lopez made a poor mistake unfortunately for him but still offers infinitely more than Munetsi who managed to complete 2 passes out of 9 attempts last night and made fewer tackles or interceptions than Lopez.

Nonetheless it will be Munetsi that starts at the weekend as we look to extend out non winning run to 14 games in the prem.

Think we can put to bed the Mane is ready talk now, he won't be pulling on a Wolves shirt this season now. A loan in January no doubt in preparation for our Championship campaign next season awaits.

Difficult to categorise a defender as “more than capable”:when he’s played in a team that concedes four goals at home?

Lopez was fackin awful again, Doubt very much we’ll see much of him again this season.

Arokodare won’t be starting ahead of JSL, unless VP goes to a 4-4-2 we will just be seeing him in 10 minute cameos off the bench.

Jackson Tchatchoua isn’t a footballer is he? We’ve given a five year £36,000 a week contract to a guy that can run fast.

Can see us being 12 points off safety by the end of the year? There’s no coming back from that even with panic buying in January

Who knew Wolfe would have no problem getting forward

His first goal was from a throw-in on the opposite side of the pitch and most of the team were in and around the penalty area. His second was when we threw caution to the wind and everyone was moving forward. Full credit to him though, for getting a brace.

Time to stop bashing Munetsi, methinks. He's been no worse than the rest of team of late.

Regarding Wolfe, it is quite amusing that despite your protestations that Wolfe isn't capable as a wing back or providing attacking output like Hugo is that Wolfe now has 2 goals and 1 assist to Buenos 0 goals or assists this season following on from being in the same division last year and having 3 goals and 7 assists to Hugos 0 goals and 4 assists. A goal and assist for Norway as well this year. Seems Wolfe is perfectly capable of getting forward and being an asset.

I find it amazing that you defend one player to the hilt, yet condemn another player every time he plays. Is Wolfe going to be your RAN Mk2?

No, just pointing out how daft your stance has been towards him. I wasn't the one banging the drum about him only being a full back so would struggle going forward.
