What will have to happen at Wimbledon for Djokovic to overtake Nadal into going to number 1? As Nadal won last year would he have to win this year to avoid losing his number 1 ranking?

I guess if Nadal went out in the Semis and Djoko won then he would be number 1?

Djokovic will have an awful lot of points to defend from January to June next year.

This is where we need someone like Cogen and his fantastic Points Spy thingy from the old 606 forum.
For a while there was a dedicated Points Spy site online but it seems to have disappeared. And yes, I am too lazy/busy to do one myself.
I would guess that all Djoko needs to do is get to the quarters/semis or thereabouts to overtake Rafa if the Spaniard slips up before the final.

The draw will be interesting to see who potentially plays who in the semi-finals. Why doesn`t the number 1 automatically play the number 4 and the number 2 play the number 3?

The "who meets who" of the top four is different at each of the Grand Slams. I'm not sure but I think at Wimby it's always 1 meets 4 and 2 meets 3. Anyone know for sure?

Yes, I thought it was like that at Wimbledon but I was told it had changed and it`s all up to a draw for who meets who now. I prefer it the original way.

The "who meets who" is the same at each tournament.
No's 1 and 2 are placed in the two halves and then a draw is made to place no's 3 and 4 in top or bottom half and so on for all the seedings. For a GS in the last 32 the no's 1-16 seed can play anyone from 17-32 depending on the draw.
The draw for Wimby is made on Friday.
Last year the no's 1 and 3 were in the same half in the mens.
There are only 65 points seperating Nadal from Djoko. Nadal is defending 2000 pts as winner and Djoko is defending 720pts as S/Finalist.
