Ginger, I would hope that Woakes will one day be a regular member of the ODI team. He's probably the best bowler/batsman in England, an exceptional fielder and an improving bowler.

I forgot about Woakes.

Bresnan's place is not in cement, so Woakes could be a good replacement for him or perhaps Patel although Patel bowled ok.

I think Dernbach showed he is far from ready for ODI cricket at this level. His much vaunted variations have flopped. I think T20 is probably his format.
Finn's performances have been impressive and I'll be surprised if he doesn't play against Pakistan.

Broad's propensity to injuries is a concern and playing in all formats might be too risky.
Swann was completely out of sorts in this series. His fielding and bowling was poor and his body language indicated this. I wonder if his biography was not as well received in the squad as Andy Flower claimed.

I very much doubt Flower is telling the whole truth with regards to his biography.

As a Pak fan Finn would worry me the most if your talking limited overs game. Pace, bounce and agression he looks a shoe in to be in the England team for a while.

Dont think Bairstow is ready.I think the Lions are touring the subcontinent this winter so Jonny could do with a spell with the Lions.If he does well there then I would re introduce him to the ODI team next summer.But dont think he is ready yet.I would give Kies or Buttler a go down the order.Taylor should be in that side.You cant have all hitters.We need nurdlers in the middle overs and Taylor is one of them.
Morgan has apparently said he wants to bat at 5.So Taylor at 4 would be good.Thats his ideal position.

England need to get over there idea of the w/k opening the batting. Just because the great Gilly did it well doesnt mean everyone can.
