He may talk the talk but he backs it up. He trains hard, shows he can follow a game plan and use tactics, and is willing to take risks.
If this was not enough, he is also a boxing fan through and through, supporting other British boxer such as fellow world champions Amir Khan and Carl Froch, ringside at their fights giving them moral support and cheering them on.
David Haye spent 3 week with Groves in Miami helping him prepare for DeGale, he was like a big brother to George and a down to earth guy.
How many other Heavy weight champs will put themselves out like that, showing tha the ego we see trash talking his opponents is just a show, to sell the fight and get inside the mind of his opponent.
Haye is not arrogant, he is one of the bright stars of boxing and is extremely talented.
Lets hope he gets a fair fight in Germany and unifies the titles.
He is not only great for British boxing he is great for boxing, he has brought life back into the heavyweight divsion.
Haye has blasted his way through the crusierweight division, becoming undisputed champ and he is now set to do this in the heavyweight division in double quick time.
Wlad is at the top of his game, and is very good fighter so if Haye pulls this off lets give him the respect he deserves.
David Haye: Great for British Boxing, Great

Agreed, all the talk is just that, a means to sell tickets and improve the bank balance. Who wouldn't do the same. I hope he wins but I think Wlad will be too smart for him. I think Haye is going to go all out for the knock out in the first two rounds. If Wlad gets through that then he will just wear Haye down with the jab and probably finish it in the ninth or tenth round.
I hope he wins, behind the arrogant facade is a decent bloke. People will always say negative things about him. They can't accuse him of ducking anymore though. The guy is a brilliant business man

Its quite telling that HBO have also bought rights to the upcoming fight as they haven't been interested in the Heavies for a while now in America.
Also its surprising considering its on at European times as this will be on around tea time over there. Its always been fairly obvious the trash talk is for show to sell the fights and he is quite successfull at it, following the publicity early on there is very little from his camp so its all business from there on.

Undoubtedly Haye's been great for British boxing. If he wins the fight, his profile will move on to the next level. Wlad hasn't fought an opponent as good as Haye before and no doubt Haye will have a "game plan" for the fight. Difficult to call but I'll give it to Wlad on points or a late stoppage.

Haye is extremely versatile, who caries his game plan fight by fight which is very impressive, imagine hatton or froch doing that!
For valuev it was the patience game followed by quick combos when possible. Ruiz saw a bulkier haye, using power to ware down his opponent, whereas audley witnessed a much lighter, much faster haye. 3 very different fighters.......very impressive at any level but especially at heavyweight!

I favour Vlad to win this, but with Haye you never know.
Hayes speed with heavy hands makes it a very interesting fight.
If he wins it, he will become a sporting superstar in this country. He's a massive star now in British boxing, but if he wins, his profile will go through the roof. This would be a massive shot in the arm for British boxing.

Both fighters have suspect chins and ko potential.
It could literally end with one big punch either way, so hard to split but i suppose you have to go with wlad due to the outstanding reach and jab he has, which will no doubt land a fair few on hayes chin.

I don’t like all this ‘trash talk is just to sell fights’ thing.
Did Ricky Hatton ever trash talk? No – yet he sold out all his venues!
Did De La Hoya? No – yet he’s the most popular boxer of a generation!
David Haye is a great boxer, he’s fantastically talented – he can score fantastic knockouts so is marketable in that sense, and not a bad looking chap so selling fights should be even easier! He doesn’t have to trash talk to get bums on seats.
Personally I don’t like it, even though he does have a talent for it and seems perfectly comfortable at the media events.
I have supported Haye since he turned pro, and knew he’d come back from that surprise loss to Thompson… but I love the Klitschko brothers too. They have class about them, and I don’t think get the respect they deserve considering their achievements.
It’s gonna be an interesting fight!

Its all about whether Adam Booth can get a right gameplan sorted out for Haye. He's the deciding factor in this match. Genuis trainer.
