Ballon D'Or Disgrace

The shortlist for Ballon D'or 2011 has been announced and I think it is a disgrace that certain players did not make it.

Player nominees: Eric Abidal (France), Sergio Aguero (Argentina), Karim Benzema (France), Iker Casillas (Spain), Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal), Dani Alves (Brazil), Samuel Eto'o (Cameroon), Cesc Fabregas (Spain), Diego Forlan (Uruguay), Andres Iniesta (Spain), Lionel Messi (Argentina), Thomas Muller (Germany), Nani (Portugal), Neymar (Brazil), Mesut Ozil (Germany), Gerard Pique (Spain), Wayne Rooney (England), Bastian Schweinsteiger (Germany), Wesley Sneijder (Netherlands), Luis Suarez (Uruguay), David Villa (Spain), Xabi Alonso (Spain), Xavi (Spain).


1 Englishman? ONE? Where is Jones? Bale? Ferdinand? Carrick?
Bale was one of the best players in the world last year and proved that in the league and in the win against Inter at San Siro, when he single handedly beat them.
Carrick carried us all season and single handedly got us to the CL final through his partnership with Fletcher.
How is Jones not there? He has been the best defender in the world this year along with Ferdinand. To include defenders from Spain instead of England is a disgrace. Barca leak goals all over the place, where as we have the tightest defence in the world.
Rooney is deservedly there in my opinion and should be the favourite to win the award after the season he had last year, and currently being the top scorer in the league this season. He has scored the most goals per game out of any player in the world in 2011. How can a player that has scored a goal a game in the league in 2011 not win the award?


The final 3 are announced on 5th December. The final 3 should be:

Rooney
Ronaldo
Nani

With Rooney winning it and Nani 2nd.
