I don't listen to Talksport, as I value my mental health and wish to preserve what little working brain cells I have, but I heard something last night that had me investigating a bit. I was told that two half trained monkeys by the name of Adrian Durham and Darren Gough produced their greatest Fergie Man United XI and then proceeded to say daft things that got people ringing up and promptly cut them off when it suited them. Which is nothing unusual for them.
I decided to have a look if their teams were up on the site and this is what I found:

You can argue over player choice but one selection stood out in human colostomy bag Durham's team.

I had to say that I managed to both be stunned and laugh my arsenal off at this comment.
Such a blatantly stupid comment designed to get people worked up and ring in. To select Carrick over the number of great midfielders United have had in the past 25 years is just ridiculous........look at his impact!?
Is Durham the ultimate media WUM and to state some of the things he secretes from his gob does that mean he has zero credibility as an inhabitant of earth?

The fact is that Carrick had a great impact in his first 2/3 seasons. I think he was a big part of our resurgence.
Obviously he is nowhere near Keane, Scholes, Robson etc. but I think he deserves a lot of credit and respect for the job he has done for us. Although he didn't play particularly well in the last couple of seasons, I think he did have a good few games in the Champions League run last year, and we seemed to have found a good midfield unit which functioned well.

Hate Talksport, often have to listen to it for match commentary on my way home from work and what they tell you is happening and what's actually happening when you watch it back are completely diffferent.
Can see why they do it as they need people to call in but still annoys me

Should be called Titsport for the presenters and the mugs who ring in to obvious wummery.I thought BBC Football Focus did a good tribute to Fergie earlier with Chris Ecclestone giving a nice narrative but Im afraid its gonna be spoiled by BBC5lives coverage off todays game with the horrible alan green.Oh well in SAF we trust.#saf25.

I'm amazed at how restrained you are in you opinions of Durham et al! They epitomise everything that's terrible about the popular media. The fact that 'fans' of the game take their opinions from these people is the perfect illustration of what's wrong with football fans today.
