Team for Saturday

With the international stuff out of the way, our next game draws near. With all 2,600 tickets sold, it|s the first non-Man U away sellout I can remember for some time.

Who's going? I am getting the train down.

Would you change a winning team? I suspect Coyle will stick with the same eleven that hammered Stoke. It's difficult to make a case for leaving out any of the front six who started that game - even K Davies, who seems to do quite well against West Brom. If we can repeat last season's success at the Hawthorns, our season will be pretty much back on track.

What team would you pick? I'd probably stick with the same XI, but it is a really tough call.

Some interesting WBAFC/BWFC stats can be found here:

If Boyata is fully fit, I'd expect Coyle to start him ahead of Riley.

This is quite funny:

Liverpool fans had to pay £42 at West Brom compared to £15 for Wanderers fans.

Got to laugh at Liverpool wanting to charge us a lot for tickets, then complain when we do the same.

The hypocrisy from Liverpool is amazing at the moment.

Obviously.

They need more police to prevent car theft, shoplifting & washing line robbery!

Should be a good atmosphere with the highest attendance of the season guarenteed with this being a sell out in both home and away end. Hawthorns is a noisy place when to come and i personally prefer when the away team brings a good amount of fans as helps the banter/atmosphere.

Long, Odemwingie and Scharner (all big players for us) are all long shots to play but you never know.

After an excellent finish to last season and finishing in 11th, this season hasn't really took off yet. Played awesome in our 1st 2 games Vs United and Chelsea and got fook all. Then was woeful against Stoke, Fulham, Swansea and Norwich (although picked up the 3 points at Carrow Rd) Then we thought we had lift off when we got back to back victories against our biggest rivals Villa and Wolves but then back to back defeats to Liverpool and Arsenal has put us on a downer again. (Yes so that's our season so far lol )

My personal prediction

WBA 2-0 Bolton

Greetings, Baggie. I think the odd goal will decide it. Like us, you've got a fair number of the big boys out of the way too. Looking forward to a cracking day out. Can you recommend a pub for away fans? Maybe somewhere I can get lunch? I am getting thee train to the Hawthorns train station. I don't wear any football gear for away games.

Hi mate.

If i'm being 100% honest West Bromwich is an absolute sheet hole (but it's my sheet hole ) lol and there's not much in terms of pubs/activity around the ground. There's a pub about 2 minutes away from the ground but get's quite leary in there and i personally would tell away fans to stay away. You can go into West Brom town centre and there are some decent pubs around but I'd advise against going if you're wearing your colours. If you don't wear your colours however and do end up in West Brom town centre then i'd reccomend The Vine. Cheap beer and great food. They do tikka specials that are a must

My personal advice to away fans though would to be drink in Birmingham town centre (Broad Street) and either get the train or a taxi down to the Hawthorns. Loads of choice aswell as a nice place to visit (esp because the German Market has just arrived for the festive season and is really nice to see aswell as to get tipsy before the match).

Hope that helps and whatever you do hope you have a nice trip down Hope your trip back is rotten though and we take the 3 points

Went last season, (on a whim after I woke up earlier than usual after a night out), but missed out this time round - that'll teach me for waiting to get tickets.

Anyway by a quirk of fete - or coming up from Oxford rather than down from Bolton - I parked with all the West Brom fans - or Abandoned the car in the middle of a road as per the way parking was there. Decent set of fans I must admit.

It'll be a fair draw again this time round I'd recon. Though if Wigan/Blackburn is a win for either then West Brom are contractually obliged to let us win!!!

Stick with the team that played Stoke if all are fit and sharp except for one change that I would make which is to replace Robbo with Alonso if Alonso is ready. Riley especially deserves to play after his terrific debut while KD looked sharp so I'd play him as well

When you say repeat last years success what do you mean??

You drew

I'm taking that as a huge compliment to our club that you would've welcomed a point with such exitement, but after watching the game, I get why :p
