These will be tested in FP1 before a decision is made about deploying them in the race
Even if not perfect it could better to have one of the cars run the main updates during the race. This will ultimately allow the team to be stronger at the next race
Without bold moves catching Red Bull might be hard

The opened trottle that feeds the diffuser in cornering is now banned, would be interesting to see how that pans out for all teams.

This may sound pessimistic but it now looks like Red Bull for the next three races at least, unless other teams' updates are really radical.
I agree that bold moves are needed but the risk is then that if they don't work for McLaren then they risk being overtaken by Ferrari.
Still, nothing ventured, nothing gained and I feel that McLaren were too cautious last season and it cost them.
