my tactics

Chelsea vs Sunderland
........................Cech...........................
.Lahm........Djourou......Luiz........Cole....
...............Essien.....Obi.......................
..Robben..........Stevie G........Malouda........
.......................Torres...........................
Subs: Turnbull, Van Aanholt, Bruma, Kalou, Benayoun, Anelka, Drogba
(if drawing or losing at 65mins: move to 4-3-3, Robben to LW, Kalou on – Malouda)
(if winning 1-0 at 75 mins: move to 4-4-1-1, Gerrard LM, Drogba on – Malouda at CF)
Or…
(if winning by 2-0+ at 85 mins: Benayoun + Kalou on – Essien + Robben)

Tactics:
Djourou is the tallest defender and will mark the tallest opponent in the box for set plays and crosses. Lahm and Cole are great a getting forward and will be urged to travel with the ball and get crosses in aiming for Torres or the far post. Luiz and Djourou will both go up for corners Djourou posing the aerial threat and Luiz looking for a rebound or the loose ball.

Mikel and Essien will look to take as much pressure as possible off of the defence, Essien the more defensive looking for through balls to Gerrard and Torres, but also direct balls over to Robben and Malouda. Mikel will look to keep possesion and play to what he can see with the occasional over the top to the wingers. Gerrard will look to link with Torres like at Liverpool playing balls for Torres to run onto but also play to his head when looking to counter. Gerrard will be the engine of the team and defend as well as attack, shooting from distance when in space and range. Robben and Malouda will run at the full-backs and look to go past them and get the ball fizzing across the box to Torres. Malouda will be urged to stick in his left channel and take on his player, but Robben should always keep the cut inside option open for a left foot strike on goal.

Torres is the lone striker but will be strongly supported by Gerrard, Malouda and Robben. Torres should use his pace to run with the ball or onto the ball but should also pose an aerial threat with his height advantage. If given a yard of space Torres should shoot if in distance and keep a sometimes shaky Gordon on his feet.

Overall mentality will be to control the game, being wary of the counter attack. We will play with a slightly narrower width to make use of our 3 central players and give Robben the cut inside option. Passing will be shorter and we will look to keep possession with the occasional ball over the top or long through balls. A quick tempo will be urged by the players to spread the sunderland team.

Liverpool V Newcastle
Newcastle Tactics:
...................Foster....................
Neville..Hangeland..Dann..Gibbs
...............Diaby..Cabaye.................
...Dempsey..................A.Johnson....
......... ...Chamakh.Hernandez..................

Subs:
GK Steve Harper
CB Richard Dunne
LB- Jose Enrique
LM/RM-Jonas Guitierrez – Dempsey (80)
DM/CM-Emannual Frimpong – Cabaye (60)
ST Demba Ba – Chamakh (55)
ST C.Vela

Foster has been strong all season he is a great shot stopper which will come into account in this game.

Neville – Phil Neville has been outstanding for Everton this season a real leader and will use his experience to stop attacking play down the right hand side for Liverpool.

Hangeland has been strong all season at the back and triumph’s in the air against teams he will use this threat not only in attack but in defense too heading out crosses and long balls forward.

Dann has been strong for Birmingham and has been their best defender this season, he’s strong and powerful and has pace to chase and beat Liverpool attackers to the ball.

Gibbs is fast and strong he’ll hault attacks down the left with pace. And will look to surge down the wing putting in dangerous crosses.

Diaby + Cabaye – Diaby is strong and will hold up the ball and look to pass out wide to Dempsey whilst cabaye looks to run forward and link up with Johnson.

Dempsey + A.Johnson Dempsey was fulhams top scorer come the end of the season and will be looking to cut inside, have a shot, or play into chamakh’s feet. Johnson will be looking to run down the line and put in dangerous crosses for both strikers to attack.

Chamakh + Hernandez: Chamakh will be heading long balls on for Hernandez to chase down with his pace. Chamakh will be running into the box to attack crosses in the air. And hold the ball up. Hernadnez’s pace will cause trouble for Liverpool’s slow CB’s

……………….………R.Green…………………
………………………………………………………
De Silvestri..Naldo..Koscielny..Traore
………………………Y.M’Vila………………….
…………...J.Makoun..T.Cahill…………..
……..…G.Agbon……………M.Arteta……
……………………...D.Bent………………….

Green will look to get rid of the ball fast, helping break quick, the fast and attacking full backs will help drive the ball forward and add attacking threat to the side. Naldo will be the rock at the back, just looking to challenge and bully the target man they put up against us. Koscielny will read the game, and deal with the technical players, take a look at Barcelona for example. MVila will be a dog in the middle, looking to pressurize and close all the time, his presence will disrupt the attack minded players on there side. Cahill will push forward and support the striker, almost playing as an SS, while Makoun will look to sit deeper and rougher the oppenents up. Agobn should be our outlet that we should feed on the floor, he can run onto the ball, also Bent can and link up, but Bent lurk in box. Arteta pinpoint passing will be able to pick out Bent. Bent should play on the shoulder always looking to lose his man. Sneaking into good positions.

-------------------Reina
Adriano--Chielini--Skrtel--Agger
--------------Lass--Wilshere
Sturridge------Lampard-----Suarez
-------------------Carroll

Subs: Thibault Courtois, Glenn Johnson, Lucas Leiva, Javi Martinez, Charles N'Zogbia, Ander Herrera, Romelu Lukaku

Corners: Frank Lampard
Free Kicks: Luis Suarez
Penalties: Frank Lampard
Captain: Giorgio Chielini

Today we face a tough game, we will try and be more compact and use our power and pace upfront.

Reina will look to command his area and collect crosses. Launch the ball forward for Carroll to get us on the attack.

The CBs will use their strength to mark the CF out of the game, head any crosses away and get strong challenges in on the ground don't give him space. Get the ball out to the wings or up to Carroll when you win it. Adriano will look to attack down the right, getting forward into the space and put crosses in for Carroll, when defending use his pace and force the winger backwards, get quick tackles in. Agger will stay back and stick to the winger, he should look to use his strength to get him off the ball and stop him delivering crosses in.

Lass will be the DM, he will sit in midfield and break up the play, staying tight to the AM and getting tackles in, not giving him space. He will cover Bale when spurs counter, helping to double up on him. He should look to keep the ball moving when we have it. Wilshere will help break up play in midfield and then drive the team forward looking for balls out to the wings and creating gaps in the defence. Lampard should be looking to move around finding the space, linking play and arriving late in the box to attack crosses and loose balls.

Sturridge will come inside to support Carroll, which will drag players out of position and free up space for Adriano. He should link the play around the area and get in on goal, using his pace to take any chance that comes his way. Suarez will use skill and pace to take the FB on and beat him, get crosses into Carroll or make runs off his flick ons. Look for Lampard when he makes his runs.

Carroll will stay high up the field all the time looking to beat the CBs in the air to flick the ball on and attack crosses, he can hold it up and bring players around him into space.

Subs:

If Winning: 70' Lucas on for Wilshere. 80' Lukaku and Martinez for Carroll and Lampard to add fresh legs.

If Drawing: Nzogbia and Lukaku for Sturridge and Carroll 70' Nzogbia and Suarez swap wings and roles, Lukaku can use the ball better. Martinez on for Wilshere 80'

If Losing: Same as above except Nzogbia for Adriano 80' and go to 3-4-3, Martinez on at 70' for Wilshere:

Reina
Chielini Skrtel Agger
Diarra
Suarez Lampard Martinez(central)
Sturridge Nzogbia(wingers)
Lukaku

BENCH
Scott Loach

DEFENCE

We know we have a good lot of CBs but Parker is there to cover them just incase.Johnston should try to stay to the main striker, using his ball reading skills to try to match. Carragher should go for the high balls and attack them, safety first and clear the ball. Brown and Figueroa should drive forward when the opportunity arises but track back all game

MIDFIELD
when we are in possession, Parker should stay back and Adam should ping the balls into the box.. When we don't have the ball Parker should try to take out their main playmaker. we should play it out wide to put it in the box because there defenders are not the tallest at the same time McCarthy will be bombing into the box waiting for the knockdown or the ball held up for him by Davis if he cant get a header/shot away .

ATTACK

We play with a target man as such, because our striker is big and strong he will look to shot and header at goal if there is a chance but McCarthy will be running into the box to help so the header/ pass back will be used
