"This means the removal of Kean and some points on the board preferably gained by us going on some sort of unbeaten run. "
Certainly the only chance of an unbeaten run is with a new manager.
On topic as we race towards the Championship, I do not blame the banks at all getting twitchy about the size of our borrowing. Even if the Venky's can't understand, the banks will realise there will be a huge drop in income and many drastic changes required should we be relegated.

I agree, however and very worringly, there is no indication from Venkys that they have any plans to remove Kean from his position.
For months now we've heard rumours and read reports of 'crunch talks' between Kean and Venkys. Unfortunatly, these are nearly always followed by reports of pay rises and transfer kittys which seem to contradict any notion that are even thinking about sacking Kean.

Is this what happened to Portsmouth and their owner/s when they were still in the Prem?

Agreed.
I don't think the importance of a new manager can be understated.
It lifts the fans, the players and the general mood arond the club. Alas though, there is no way Venkys know this as they havent been in the game long enough to have that experience. As hardened fans we have seen the boost that we got when Sam took us over (comfortable 3-0 win v Stoke) and with other clubs (Liverpool last season another prime example)
We are so so close to being down regardless of what happens. Not getting 3 points against Swansea and i would be resigned to us playing Championship football but at some point we just have to hope that Venkys will wake up and realize Kean is not now and never will be capable of taking us on the run of wins (and clean sheets) needed to stay up.

As for Venkys not showing signs of wanting to sack Kean before that is true. However, there seems to have been a huge shift in recent days to Kean's press. Many papers are now openly mocking his interviews, excuses and general managerial stats. Also he isn't getting much support from other managers, pundits etc as they too have realized the magnitude of his ineptness.
We just have to hope this mood also finds it's way to Venkys as well.

I have never known a manager to be so universally disliked by the fans, to be slated in the media daily, have the pi** taken out of him, have the appaling run of results that Kean has had and still remain in the job.

Yeah it is an absolute one off. I think the only time manager's are supported in this way is when all and sundry know they have their hands tied, no money to spend and a weak set of players at their disposal and no way of changing things round.
As long as the players try their best, managers can remain in these situations longer than the norm. I read a stat the other day that said Cahmpionship manager lifespans are something like 10 months only or thereabouts.
Simply mind-boggling that Kean remains in charge.

I Heard a rumour that Venkys thought the Premier league was a frozen entity and you couldn't be relegated from it, that rumour has no foundation but would be interesting if that was the case and they honestly thought they could afford as much time as necessary and are now launching some amazing survival campaign... we can but dream

You would have to wonder what they thought they were buying into to?
They seem oblivious to the fact that the business they spend 20+million on is going to be worth considerably less if we are relegated

I cant fathom out where all the cash as gone ,tv,transfer and season tickets plus money at the ticket office away fans plus other spin offs. This really does look like asset stripping ,to take a club down like this is sheer utter madness.
