A share in Stanley? no. not for a hundred quid. Stanley will never have the fanbase needed to get higher than they are now. It's not their fault and I love the Crown Ground dearly but Accrington is in the middle of an area where there are just too many clubs competing for the support os a relatively small population. Blackburn Rovers abot five miles one way, Burnley less than ten in another direction. Then there's the likes of Bolton and Bury, the two manchester clubs as well. The Northwest has so many football clubs that unless you're in a big city you have very little chance of filling your ground every week and attracting the kind of commercial sponsorships and revenues without which you cannot hope to compete at a higher level. Stanley's average home gate is under 2000. It won't go up by much more than that and sponsors know it.
I mean no disrespect but the fact is that Stanley's position is like a lot of other small clubs. Hanging on by their fingernails and scraping through season by season. but from a purely financial point of view it wouldn't be worth buying a share. By all means do it if you simply want to show your support and don't care about having 100 quid of dead money invested in a piece of paper. But don't ever believe it will lead stanley to get any higher or make any kind of profit. It won't.
