Fabio hinted that he would not take Rooney if the ban was not reduced. UEFA realised they wanted him there and buckled. Nice bluff Fabio.

UEFA don't really want a tournament without the best players and so they have reduced the ban so we can see Rooney.

Despicable decision

Watch this open a can of worms in the PL scene.

There are many players in the PL who have been sent off or even charged by the FA after reviewing evidence who have comitted offence equal if not less than Rooney yet they get a 3 match ban or more in some cases.

FA are 2 faced - they would do any thing to protect England yet they would bite the hands of many players & teams in the PL!

I hope UEFA reconsider their decision but looks like cased close despite can of worms being ont he brink of being unleashed.

Its a shame that UEFA did not give the FA (of England) a taste of their own medicine & possibly more.
