Johnson? Perhaps even worse than Khawaja, actually no, he isn't, and it's not even close, but Mitch is terrible.

Take out Khawaja (still laughing about that) put in Marsh.

Take out Cummins for Pattinson.

Duncan I know I'm defending a fellow origin here in Khawaja but he does look technically good and showed in South Africa that he can perform top level. Of course Marsh is the better option but I think once Ponting and Hussey depart we will see how good he is.

I wasn't sure Marsh was in the squad or not - obviously between Marsh and Khawaja I'd have Marsh too.

Also, do you reckon Aus will have a 4 seam attack in any of the games? I think it would be wise as India play spin well and even Swann was largely ineffective against India in England, it was the seamers that did the damage.

I put forward the idea of a 4 man pace attack on the old 606. The other posters showed me the error of my ways, someone needs to bowl a lot of overs and that guy is usually the spinner. I say try him for at least 2 tests before even thinking of ditching the spinner.

ok guys lets put this straight. johnson is ou for 4 months. he cant even be part of the 15 players australia will choose. marsh needs to go through an operation to prolong his career in cricket. so as far as this series is concerned, its out of the equation. now cummins is not available till like early february, so even that is out of the equation.

I dont personally rate Khawaja but i think its totally unfair he is expected to bat at 3. He should be at 5 or 6.. Pontings best position is 3 and clarkes 4..

khawaja should be blended into the the time like shafiq is with Pak.
