Ayub Daud

Ayub Daud is a 20-year-old Somali footballer currently playing in Italy for Juventus. He joined the zebras youth academy at the age of 10. In this moment of time, he's playing for Gubbio (the Italian Wolves).

Apologies for the short introduction. After watching this kid play for Somalia against Ethopia in the World Cup qualifiers at South Africa, I genuinely think he has bags of potential to play in the Premier League. I didn't even know who he was until a Somali friend of mine told me about him a few years back.

We would have seen a lot more of him in the World Cup if Somalia, who are in crisis at the moment, lost their World Cup qualifier against Ethopia. He hasn't featured for his home country Somalia yet — I doubt he would with Somalia's current political situation.

He is deemed to be one of the brightest young talents in football and, although still 21, has earned praise from Arsene Wenger and other big name coaches. He is presently being tracked by Barcelona, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Bayern Munich and several other clubs.

That's a pretty impressive record considering he hasn't featured for Juventus enough to make a huge impact. However, I still think that a Premier League team should bid roughly £3 million for him in January. Arsenal are in need of an attacking creative midfielder, a position which Daud can play in. Wenger loves these sort of deals, he should bid for him in January.
