A manager's input...

I have read a few comments recently regarding Fergie's input!

What do United fans think is the actual input that Fergie puts in? I l know it is impossible to gauge points wise, but how important is the manager?

For me, it is limited. Except for picking the team, something we can all do, I am not sure how much of an input a manager has!

I felt the same during the WC, we all had our opinion on what was the best team etc, yet Capello apparently got it wrong, or did he?

Players play to their ability, we can all pick Rio, Rooney, Nani etc...but if those players don't perform then where does the blame lie? At the manager?

When United failed to qualify for the CL knockout stages, was Fergie to blame? He failed to accept that United were struggling, yet they failed, so surely it was up to him, or was it?

If Fergie is to be congratulated with keeping United in the title race, then is it not fair that he should be roundly criticised for their failure to stay in the premier European competition?

Would Blackburn be in a better position if Fergie was in charge?

So many questions I know, my point is, is the manager really that important?

This isn't a dig at Fergie, but more a question as to the manager's importance...

Real Madrid, AC Milan?

In 99 we weren't the biggest club in Europe.

define biggest.

We we re the best supported team in the world, certainly. Probably the richest, too.

AC Milan have never been anywhere near United.

Biggest - performances and success in Europe. I chose the words carefully.

Juventus then were a powerhouse as well. I remember being terrified about us facing Inter and Juve as well.

That's the point I was making

Billybob, didn't Ferguson win European trophies with Aberdeen and break the old firm hold on the title? Did he have loads of money then?

I know a guy that works at OT and Ferguson has the final say on everything. He has a team assigned to everything, but he has final say on everything.

It's a late comer, but I think this is a candidate for worst article of the year.

Where would you lot be without Paddy Rayment?

This is the problem with Billy, in his bid to take shots at Utd as well as his pathetic digs he often creats stupid articles like this one.

If he had thought about this properly without giggling to himself before pressing the publish button, he wouldn't have bothered creating this tripe.

It's another example of the nonsense Billy posts along with us being controlled by the dastardly tv producers
