Maguire certainly has been a very busy man

Maguire must of been putting in plenty of hours over the last month or so, it doesn't appear to be hurting Wigan to much with that display last week against St.Helens (correct me if I'm wrong please)
Without even stepping foot at Redfern he has put his point across that he is the boss and has told a few players what he expects to see from them for the remaining dozen or so rounds................

This is an extract from the Daily Telegraph below outlineing a few changes he has made already.

INCOMING South Sydney coach Michael Maguire has put a broom through the Rabbitohs' coaching staff for next season, axing high-profile recruits Gorden Tallis and Errol Alcott.
In a clear signal Maguire has been given a mandate to do things his way, the new coach has appointed Wayne Collins, Troy Thomson and Shaun Edwards for next year.

The changes are a brave call from the new coach, who has cut two of co-owner Russell Crowe's closest allies in Tallis and Alcott.

The other significant addition to the coaching staff will be former Newcastle five-eighth and media personality Matthew Johns.

The premiership-winning Knights playmaker has previously worked alongside Maguire at the Melbourne Storm and will be handed the role of improving the Rabbitohs' halves.

Maguire spent the past month conducting interviews and doing due diligence on the Rabbitohs' football department before announcing the changes.

Maguire spoke to each member of the Rabbitohs' coaching staff, via Skype, on a number of occasions before restructuring the set-up. Assistant coach Kurt Wrigley will remain in the same role, with Collins to act as Maguire's right-hand man. Football manager and former Rabbitohs back-rower Mark Ellison will also remain in his position.

Maguire must be able to work on 4 hours sleep by the looks of things...

Cheers.

I would be slightly annoyed if I was a Wigan fan, if he is making this wholesale changes at Souths, he obviously isn't completely focused on his current club.

I agree Ronaldo, regardless of anything he says, he can't be putting in 100% for Wigan.
I've got no doubts come semi-finals time he will be 100% committed to his job at hand, but he would of better off not making these comments at all.

Souths,I agree with what you and Ronaldo are saying regarding a conflict of interest, what puzzles me is who is this Shaun Edwards who as been appointed for next year ?.
Another point is the appointment of Matty Johns( media personalty) to improve the halfbacks at Souths.
Something along the same lines is required at Wigan, because the lack of creativity in the Wigan halves may be the reason that Warrington have scored 200 points more that Wigan during the present season and had less points against them.
I have been hammering this point for all this season about non existant halfback play 'but to no avail.

Theo, Re; Shaun Edwards......as far as we knew he was coming to South's as Maguires right hand man......but I just read an Engish article from the Sun saying he is about to sign on as Wigan coach....
I can feel your frustration in regards to your halves problems, Maguire should of got the likes of Tommy Bishop or perhaps someone younger to go through a few things to try....good luck.

It's not the ex Wigan Legend and Current Wasps coach their on about surely? I just presumed it's another with the same name!

On Wigan focus... well they've not been doing too badly have they! Plus as mentioned it's better he's doing this now then at the end of the season when the pressure is on for both clubs to perform!

in the same way that a road-worker or a miner works hard??

i wouldnt have thought that hard work came into macguires life too often.
