I think i have lost my faith in this indian team under dhoni's captaincy in TESTS. but that is not the point of my article. This thread is about SA and England. I really do think that SA are the same as the other 6 teams in tests. And frankly speaking I believe that SA will get thrashed in england come next year. If not as bad as india then atleast as bad as others have faced in the last couple of years. I really have started to think england are really a good side. SA seems to be drawing their series against every team that comes to SA or away, and that somehow suggests they lack that finishing touch after being on a drivers seat in the series.
Anyway test matches are seriously so much amazing to watch. Cant believe all the batsman that bully the bowlers in odis can barely stand a ball in tests.... kohli, raina, yuvraj, sehwag(these days), dhoni, gambhir rings some bell.
Guys Any doubts?

Yeah, lets see how we do this year.
On paper and with the new 2 bowlers that SA have got, I thought they have a good team on paper. The batsman seem a little inconsistent.

South Africa's big problem is a partner for Smith, someone to replace Prince and a keeper that can bat. They are saying that there is pressure from Kirsten to make AB Deviliars the permanent test keeper and I think that will be a good move which could then allow them to play an allrounder or another batsman.

To a degree, I see your point Kash but I would leave De Villiers alone. Maybe they can get away with it in the one-day game, but Test wise, this would be a huge burden on such a good batsman.
The worry for the Saffers is Kallis - The best all-rounder since Botham, is getting on. 35 is he?
The older he gets, the sooner he may retire. That fella will be irraplaceable and also provides a great balance to the team.

Kallis is 36 and hardly bowls these days and when he does its norally a couple of overs before lunch or tea. You can't replace a player like Kallis. I can't see England having much to worry about come summer.

i think right now there is no team in the world that is capable of beating england in england. they are soo good at home that even bowlers like steyn will have a hard time, cause he will have to till with 8 class batsman

Reckon SA will win the Headingley test with Steyn ripping us to shreds.
We'll do better on the flatter pitches of the Oval and Lords and win the series 2-1.
I think it's only a matter of time before Australia become the no.2 side in the world. Pattinson is so gun, Cummins as well. Their batting will stop them getting to no.1.

Sth.Africa would be a stronger team if they re-called a couple of their players back from loan...
