Lendl-Murray, will it work?

On paper it could be just the thing Andy needs. Yet, it could be just another high-profile disaster.

What do you think?

Pol, sport is littered by many that their peers talk about highly but they never won the majors randy mamola in bike racing - best rider to never win world crown etc.

To date I have said for years and been proven right that Murray hasn't got what it takes to win a slam.

Now with Lendl he has a chance to change that.

He has to want that though and it can be easier said than done as we have seen before with Murray and coaches.

I hope it works out for Murray but if it doesn't work out with Lendl then I would say his chance at a slam win has gone.

Lendl won't put up with his strops though so its not gonna be an easy ride.
He's gonna have to change his ways

so jonty, had ivanisavic passed his last chance when he won wimbledon aged 31, darren clarke passed his when he won the open last yr. andy murray has 5-7 yrs left at the top of the game. that's around 28 slams. now to say he won't win any of these is foolhardy imo

Pol, you can cite as many examples as you like, these players are not Murray and do not have the same psyche or environment that he has.

This forum is about opinions and my opinion is as stated above and has been proven right so far.

I hope he wins a slam but feel if he doesn't take this chance with Lendl his chance will have passed him by.

You must be mistaking me with someone else, I've never been a fan of Andy Murray's.

I hope he wins a slam because he's British and respect that he's head and shoulders above other British players but am not a fan.

I'm a Federer (for his style and achievements)/Djokovic (for his character and determination to improve) fan.

sorry, wasn't you. it was maksi i was thinking of. as you say it's about opinions.
an opinion of mine is someone from these shores backing players from another country is just wrong when we have someone so talented of our own
