I am sure everyone here is just as impressed today with this new forum.

The genius in a simple idea.

I like many others have peeked at the alternatives as they have appeared over the past couple of months and quickly felt that they didn't seem right. JA606 does though, and i feel it will withstand the initial toing and froing as many 606 users seek their new home and emerge as the de facto successor.

One thing I hope all can appreciate is the cost and effort to create a thriving forum. Not that I can understand the full volume when it grows but i have a couple of dedicated servers and this alone will run into hundreds if not thousands per month to help sustain the community. Add to that paying programmers, designers, staff etc. the list is endless.

At this time the team (whether they are wealthy or poor is irrelevant) are doing this without any income from this site, and not being backed by millions of pounds of government money.

I would imagine shortly in the future, however the team decide to monetise the site, there may be donate buttons, AdSense or other advertisements on site. If this is this the case, please do not begrudge this, instead show your support and help this community grow with a click or a donation, however it is possible and however you see fit.
