If we fail to get Hazard/Neymar...

...we should aim for Lucas Moura. This probably feels like it has come out of nowehere but I have always been a big fan of these players, great dribblers and I would love any of them at Chelsea. Massive potential. Ideally it would be Hazard as he is already in Europe and probably the last raw of the three but as it looks likely we would end up with neither him or Neymar I think the club should aim for Lucas Moura.

The reason why I haven't been more interested in Lucas paticularly compared to Neymar is that he plays for his club as an AM behind the striker while Neymar and Hazard play as wingers. Well Neymar sometimes plays as a striker but anyway, I've alwyas believed we need more of a winger type player rather than a no.10 playmaker although a playmaker could still make a big impact. After having a paticular read through the we ain't go no history report on him, there was one bit that stuck out for me:

All these seem more qualities for a winger than a playmaker IMO and after watching video's of him it seems his play could definately suit picking the ball out on the left and running at defences.What's also clear from the video's IMO is that he'sa raw talent but there's so much potential in his game. Also while he's quite well known he hasn't really hit the heights of Neymar in terms of popularity and woulfd probably be cheaper. Doesn't nesccessarily mean he would be cheap but his price is much more likelto to be between 20 and30million while Neymar's could be looking at 40million +. Of course that could also be seen as a somehwat negative - Neymar is one of the top 50 most marketable athletes , not just footballers in the world.

Most reports I ready on Lucas also mention that he is more willling to use his strength than often other players like him use. This is something Messi does well and definately players like Hulk use to their advantage, and they also mention how, unlike most teens in Brazil, usually stays out of trouble and is quite quiet off the pitch.

The reason I am so for a signing like Hazard/Neymar and now Lucas is just so we have that type of expolsive talent with flair that can really scare teams and be one of the best in the world. Probably something no team in the PL has had since Ronaldo but we all saw the effect he had with United. It wouldn not really be the end of the world if we missed out on a player like Lucas or Neymar or Hazard as there are still plenty of other talents who would be cheaper who still have good potential like Shaqiri, Hoilett and deBruyne, but it would be great having a potential world great in our team, of course along with Mata and Sturridge who themselves will be some of the best at what they do in a few years time if they aren't already.
