As always it will be difficult to call a winner but i think its between Ronnie, Selby or Trump. Who's your picks?

i do pal. i still think as a match player there is none better than John Higgins. probably the best match player of all time and imo a better player over the years than Stephen Hendry

Sorry mate, and I often agree with you on snooker and tennis matters but there is no way you can compare Higgins with Hendry. When they played together Hendry was streets ahead of him. Higgins is excellent, Hendry is the GOAT.

not for me sorry. there is about 6 or 7 yrs age between them. higgins has grown up playing alongside o'sullivan at his peak and still amassed 4 world titles. he may even reach hendry's 7 by the time he reaches hendry's current age of 42. imo hendry played at his peak in a much weaker era for snooker

So you are saying that John Higgins is the best player that has ever played snooker Pol? Must admit, that is the first time I have ever heard that :p

Steve Davis, one of the greatest of all time said it last year after he'd lifted his 4th world crown. when i thought long and hard about it i couldn't disagree with the guy

To be honest Pol, I have enjoyed every frame John Higgins has played throughout his career so far. It is hard not to like the guy too. Now that he has four world titles he has catapulted himself to the levels of greatness. Believe it or not I don't usually get involved in GOAT debates because I think every sport has had great players. In football, why cant Pele, Maradonna, Zidane and Messi not all be equally as good as each other? After all, they were all amazing?
Snooker has the same stars too. Many young lads of today don't even know who Ray Reardon is. He was fantastic back then, wasn't he?

Murphy testing him to the limit here though. Great to see Shaun Murphy playing his very best snooker again this week. People say the game needs characters and he is certainly one of them. 3 centuries in this match now and a joy to watch.

tbh maksi murphy if probably THE 1 player on the circuit i honestly can't stand. arrogant man who has been known in the past to be very unsporting. can't remember specifics.
he did play well though and deserved his win

The final will now be contested between two recent World Champions who have both played snooker befitting of that title.
I for one have thoroughly enjoyed this tournament and have absolutely no idea who may win this tournament now.
Good luck to both players and may the best man win.

Looks like Robertson's going to win it. Seems to be having all of the luck at the moment.
