I am a resident of the Stockport area and have many season-ticket holding friends of Stockport County AFC!
The question on the lips of everyone is if they will ever make it back into the football league?
With finances very much uncertain, the future looks bleak!
But who is the man/team to lead them back into the league??
I heard a couple of weeks back that Glenn Hoddle and his Academy were one possible avenue and to bring them over from Spain/Portugal to get back into English football? But heard nothing since!
One thing I would hate would be for an Alex McLeish or Gary Megson type, defence minded, tactically unaware manager to take control..
Stockport town deserves a club in the football league, but we are gonna need an Ancelotti style of football to get them back into the 'BIG TIME'.
What are your views?
Who will be the manager at Edgeley Park?

its simple: you have opted for Dietmar Hamann...probably your biggest mistake so far: the last thing you need in this godforsaken hole(BSP) is a foreign premiership footballer with no managerial experience in any league of football whatsoever, like the wrexham board who brought Saunders in, it was only done to keep alive supporter intrest (A BIG NAME)....but you will pay for it, this league is like no other, only two go up,half the league is made up of teams that are fighting for survival and will play you for a draw home and away, kick you to death, rubbish refereeing, and horrible away grounds...even players bought in from league 2 clubs find it hard to adjust here, the football is dire and boring and defensive minded....im convinced the only way to get out this place is to employ a coach who has vast experience in the lower league system..and on top of that you need a whole bucket full of luck and money!!

Alternatively, County have appointed a manager who has lived in the area for the last decade and has a lot of contacts at both City and Liverpool who may be willing to lend him some of their younger players to give them experience whilst helping Stockport get back on their feet.
