he has been speaking about blues past few days on twitter in positive ways, saying how happy he is there doing well and today an hour after the sunderland game finished his first tweet was about kro and buzzing for blues then half an hour later he tweeted about the sunderland game...........maybe he is a blue

20k a week at his home club and he wanted more money. He left us despite winning a trophy when he is the calibre of player that will NOT play for England or win many club trophies. He could have stayed and become a club legend; he chose a bit more cash and future footballing anonymity over blues. In my book that means he is not a bluenose. Period.

Well again i stand by we dont know if he was pushed out or felt pushed out.

Or if he aswell as other players knew we could be a sinking ship and knew we could potentially be in trouble.

But i dont think Gardner had a wage cut in contract, so in my eyes here is what he has gained and given up.

Gained...

1 The Chance to play in the Prem (but not garunteed starts).

2. A Wage Increase.

But he has lost out on....

1) Chance to play in Europe (especially for your boy hood club).

2) Regular Football.

For me it seemed like a no brainer, if Gardner was a Bluenose, then he would know the chances of this Club and especially in the financial plight we may be in, to ever play in Europe again during Gardners playing life time is very very slim.

Add to that, that he was part of the team that took us their.

Whats more important playing in the Prem?

Or playing once in lifetime chance to play for your Boy Hood Club in a Competition the club may never be a part of again.

When Gardner is in his 60's he could have told his gran kids of the time he played for his beloved Blues and Won a Trophy and then went on to play for his beloved club in Europe.

The guy would have gone into History, been a legend.

Had he stayed he would be at a financial loss equal to what ever Sunderland paid him extra if its £30K a week compared to £20K well for Gardner after Tax its only like £5K a week extra.

He could have stayed, played often, had the side built around him, played in Europe. And come this time of the year if he had a good season and we still got knocked out of Europe i am sure a number of Prem clubs would still had come in for him.

So all Gardner would have missed out on was about half a seasons £5K a week in hand wages.

Makes no sence.... unless the guy is no Bluenose, unless the Prem and Money means more to him than playing for his boyhood club in Europe.

But we just dont know, if he was pushed out and had little choice in the matter.

Then again he cant be forced out... take Zigic he could just have not been bothered, not trained hard and thus not get picked and be happy to sit at home and collect £50K a week, we could not force him to join other clubs, unless a club offered to match his wages.

Just to think had Gardner stayed and we got promoted, he would be in the Prem with his boyhood club and could go on to become Captain and a true legend.

Surely thats more important than a bit extra cash, and playing on a rotation or off bench for Sunderland.

Gardner has apparently had to close down his twitter account today after messaging a girl on there yesterday for her blackberry pin even though she is only 17 and he has a Mrs with a kid on the way! Lol

Exactly Banjo. With regards to transfers, a club bids for your player. The player can then say "no, I choose to stay" quite simply. You cannot "force a player out", I mean, look at Tevez!

Gardner chose to leave. The guy didn't want to play for blues, and if he was a bluenose that simply would not be the case.

I repeat; Craig Gardner is not a bluenose.

We all know whats stopping Tevez...........

Money Money and Money, rumours are he tried to sting PSG, he knows they got wealthy owners and he wants a big pay day.

So that has to be more than what he gets now.

If he wanted sucsess he should have stayed at Man Utd but he went to City for the £££££ where because they was not doing well he threw his toys out of the Pram... oh he wants to be close to his family blah blah!

Fast forward 12 months, Man City have got it together and are doing well, and Tevez now looking to move to Italy (like thats closer to Argentina) provided they pay him a high wage.

I wish the FA had some low league sides in other GB owned countries... as i would send him off to play in the Falklands

I think with footballers its a bit of a grey area, i dont think they commit to a club the same as a fan does, as to them its a Career.

I mean was Bully not a Dingle, then Baggy, then a Dingle.

Wouldn't that make him a Bingle...or a Dagg?

You could also say that as Gardner went from being a Brummie to a Mackem, now that he is getting homesick you could say he's changed into a Mummie's Boy...oil git mi cowt...
