Jean Voyage.....

Good luck and thanks for the effort. Now let's see what we get to replace him.

Oh and excuse the terrible pun....

Right well here is my point of view....

What reasons could Beausjour have to leave... unless he was asked to go as club needed to make money and he just happend to me one of the players a too good to turn down offer came in for.

1) Wigan are hardly spending, i think Whelan has invested well considering Wigans size and his wealth or should i say lack of compared to others. This has made Wigan flirt with relegation for the past few seasons can they escape again.

2) Due to above and positon now, Wigan could get relegated they are again the odds on favorite but they have been in bottom 3 favorites for last 3-4 seasons.

3) Blues are doing well, Hughton has done well considering and we are starting to pick up pace after we got knocked out of Europe (less games, stick with making fewer changes/resting players). Beausjour has been a part of that and has been playing often and well, i see no signs of him not being happy.

4) We could still potentially get Promoted and i dont think he had a relegation clause so would still earn the same as he did last season.

So there must be these few reasons he would want out.

1) As said above, maybe he is told to go as offer too good for our club, in need of cash.

2) Wigan has more spanish speaking players.

3) Beausjour beleaves Wigan have more chance of staying up than we do of getting promoted.

4) Maybe the wage offer/increase was too good to turn down.

5) Maybe he has concerns that our club is not out of trouble yet, and could still face worse as ownership situation and finances are not resolved.

Not sure any of those hold much water though Banjo. What do you think of CH's first statement after JB signed for Wigan? Re the importance of having players that fit into the team. May be coincidental, but it may also be pointed. Anyway, in CH we trust.

Don't forget, it is January and it is the time that players transfer from club to club.
Beau was always a crowd favourite but never set the pitch alight with his skills, but good luck to him at Wigan.
I find it strange that he is swapping a rising contender for a faltering 'star' but presumably it was his choice though we may argue that he jumped before he was pushed.
I agree with ED on many of the points made [I was only joking about your 'typo', I ent gonna make anymore out of it...].
Ultimately, CH is well aware of what he is up against [ie the loss of his mainstay players] and has adapted brilliantly.
Without wishing to sound pessimistic though, I would hate for all the upheaval and transfers of the likes of Beau, be used venomously should we not get promoted.
Let's not lose sight of the fact that where we are and where we have been and what we have went through [with more to come], has been a fantastic achievement by the Manager CH and of course the players who seem to be 'gelling' even more so as the season progresses.

"It is widely acknowledged that the people of Britain do not handle people who succeed very well at all, and are alien to cultures where success is admired. I think some of you are just proving the old adage. "

Please enlighten me ED on your amazing track record.

Most people that brag on an internet forum about success, wealth, etc, tend to have very little. I could be wrong, but the sentance "I know how to make things succeed, and have an extensive track record of doing so" actually makes me feel quite sorry for you ED.

It must cost you an absolute fortune in petrol visiting fantasy island every day.

TBH Ed is working hard in the blues trust to try and make a difference to the club we all love. He is one of the people who started the trust and he is passionate about the blues. I meet him at the last meeting and we have had a couple of email conversations about getting more fans involved.

I can't speak for any success he has had beyond that as I don't know but he is not a dingle and is passionate about moving the club forward.

As for Beau he has gone to a club that looks like they are building for the championship for me. He is hard working and has shown glimpses of greatness but has been too inconsistent in his time here.

I wish him well for the future and there is a good chance we will be playing him next season if the owners carry on selling the silverware!

Fair enough Bcfc83 but attacking your own fans on a forum is not exactly the way to go about it. Can't knock the Blues trust work work though.

I can't defend him when he is having a go a other forum posters but he is not a bad bloke and like I say he is just passionate about the blues, as we all are!

CH said need players for the team and i think he means players we could bring in.

Beausajour has been part of the team he has played well, been commited i cant see how he has not.

Who else to we play at LM, Elliot is better through the middle, i think Murphy could do well but then with Ridgewell most likely going Murphy would be needed at LB.

Redmond has potential he is good on the ball, his crosses can be good, he does track back at times and has confidence. But sometimes he flatters to deceive and goes missing a lot.

Fahey could be used but again he is better at RM or in the middle and again like Redmond can go missing.

No knocking them, and Redmond has lots of potential but we also need more players to play at LM and with Beausjour gone and Ridgewell going, that really leaves Murphy, Valles as propper Left Sided players with Redmond and Elliot able to do a decent job.

Thing is miami, if I feel that SOME of our fans (and I stress it is only a section of our fans) do thiongs tahta are against everything that this club needs, what do I do. If I keep quiet about my feelings it doesn't change things the issues are still there. It may be unpalatable to some people, but it is the truth, as I see it, that a certain section of fans ensured that we lost our last set of owners, and that they left in a vindictive mood that saw them damage this club significantly. If we had a billionaire waiting in teh wings to take over the club, then I could just about handle the abuse and disrespect that is handed out by some people, but whilst we have no fairy godmother waiting in the wings, the cations just beggar belief in my book.

At my age I don't raelly care whether you like the message or not, all I want to do is tell teh truth and support BCFC, nothing (on this message board) matters to me really.

Now if people reject the ideas, dislike me, carry on in the same way, then at least I have spoken the truth on the matter. It is then up to everyone's else's consciences what they do with that information.

I cannot imagine for a second anyone on here would condone the treatment of David Sullivan's young son at the match when we last got relegated under that ownership, but somehow it is unacceptable to challenge that sort of activity.

Well, whether you like it or not I love the club, I love my father (deceased) who introduced me to the club, and I want nothing more than to see them make a better fist of being successful. In my latter years, & I will do everything I can to try to make that happen.

Whether people believe my speedy synopsis of my experience and success in life is not particularly material to me, you can take it or leave it. It is true however, and again I am trying very hard to use whatever skills and experiences I have to make the club better. It is a terrible shame that it is actually Blues fans who want to stop me doing that.

Thank you bcfc 83 for your support. I have actually cooled on teh Trust now, as the apathy from Blues fans means it has very little chance of success. What does it take to mobiolise the fans that say they love this club.

People in the Trust worked hard to distribute 5000+ leaflets for the open meeting back in October, from all of those fans 50 turned up for the meeting. For me that was shocking, and whilst people are still doing their damnedest to get this things working, it only stood a chance if the fans were behind it and they are not.

Perhaps the truth is that people get the football club they deserve. Maybe that is the realism that I need to get to grips with.
