Crystal Palace manager Lennie Lawrence has confirmed today that JR is on his 'radar'.
'We are still looking at him and there may be a possible deal', he told the croydon advertiser.
In addition, contract talks with Anthony Kay remain unresolved. With Leeds retaining an interest in Smithies despite signing Paul Rachkuba, and speculation remaining over Pilks, LC is getting increasingly anxious as to who will be attending Town's pre season training which starts next week.
Hardly an ideal scenario.
Rhodes on the radar.

Being slight has got nothing to do with being fit for matches.
As for your Alan Lee stats, you must have got them from either Hans Anderson or his mates Jacob & Wilhelm Grim.
For the record, his career scoring rate is poor, approaching 1in5
- 94 in 432 to be precise according to records.
Not my cup of tea. A poor man's lightweight Emile Heskey.

In the last 3 seasons Alan Lee has scored 12 in 96 league games, including 0 in 28 for Town.
A truly impressive return that even Emile Heskey would be embarrassed about.

If you asked the opposition centre halves i would think they will beg to differ with your view TC, You usually find the big Irish kids who participated in Hurling and Gaelic footy aint no shrinking violets.

Brycey
Ah to be sure, the fellas 6'3" but I'll bet he's barely 11st wet through. He gets blown over in a gust of wind. Any Tom, D i c k or Harry can swing their elbows around

You really do need the old goggles checking over, I reckon Lee will be nearing the 14st mark.
I like him TC, Used correctly he would and could be a great asset, But alas, Tis wor Clarky in charge.

Brycey, Dean Windass would make mincemeat our of him.
But youare correct, Lee Clark hasn't got the foggiest how to play him.
He's not a target man. He should be tje guy at the end of rhe wibgmens crosses and rhe long bake target man when we mix it up.
It's not rocket science

Dean Windass ? The same fat striker who laid back Belgian goalie Nico Vaesen flattened in the goal at Sadford a few years ago ?
Fair dinkum to Windyass though when he eventually got up and stumbled off rubbing his chin and then got on with his job, No moaning to ref, No theatricals.
