Barca to make follow up bid

It was revealed today that Barcelona have already made a £27 million pound bid for Fabregas this summer which was rejected. The offer was a verbal offer but Arsenal felt it was way below their evaluation of the player.

There are rumours going around that Barcelona are set to make a follow up bid next week whist Fabregas is visiting Barcelona so that he can be unveiled and go on the US tour with the Barca team.

This looks like it could spell the end to the Fabregas saga because Barca are showing real intent, but it remains to be seen whether they will meet the asking price that Arsenal have set.

Do you think that the deal will be done by next week or continue on throughout the summer?

Most likely the latter...

Until Barce offer Arsenal's valuation it'll be stalemate.

The deal for Sanchez, who was allegedly meant to be unveiled as a Barce player this week is "on ice". And they're rumoured to be turning their attentions to Rossi and Mata.

Barce have a strict budget this summer, hence why they are trying to sign Cesc for peanuts. They predominantly are looking to strengthen their forward options, namely a central striker and hopefully a wide player (Sanchez, Mata).

The likelihood is Barce will get 2 out of 3 of their targets.

"real intent" how does a bid they know that will be rejected joy real intent.

Their trying to get him for a very low fee, they not going to succeed with this method.

Barca need to up the bid by at least £20m in my opinion and personally I just don't seem them doing this espically as they are rumoured to only have a transfer budget of £49m and they have more important areas to strengthen. Rossell is simply using Cesc as a political tool he got the presidency by promising to return their "lost child" and that is what he is doing despite the fact Barca have no need of him at this point in time.

The £27 million pound bid is a bit of a joke but with Fabregas being in Barcelona next week they may bid around the £35 million pound mark to push the deal on and get it sorted whilst he is there. They want the deal done before Arsenal begin pre-season because it starts to get more complex and there is a risk that there's a big chance that what happened last season will be repeated.

Personally I don't think Arsenal will let him go for less than £40 million and Barca won't stretch to that so perhaps this will drag out all summer again.

They'll follow it up with a bid for 26m.

If they offer 30M plus Alacantara, we should take the offer.

We don't need another unproven lightweight attacking midfielder. Sell Fabregas for £40+ million and invest the money into buying proven quality.
