In the face of adversity...with 3 away fixtures... 2 of which are in England and France.. a team with out its talisman... and hurting from the WC exit...
Ireland are still looking like contenders!
Why?
Wales 1st up are devastated with injuries
England are young, inexperienced, and under pressure
Scotland have changed little
Italy are heroic losers at best
and
France are in transition...
*Ireland are settled and have momentum from the provinces and the HC
Ireland have a good chance if life was so easy to summarise as above....
But

There are four teams who can win and 2 who probably can't.
Ireland have the experience, but perhaps not the freshness
England have the freshness, but perhaps not the experience - especially in playing together
Wales have a good squad, great form and a horrible fixture list
France, well, are France
Anyoen of those can do it, but France probably start with their noses in front as they are home to both England and Ireland, and go to Wales on the last day
