What will you be happy with end of season?

Will LFC fans be happy to simply grab a UEFA Cup/Europa League spot? Or are you expecting a return to Champions League footie?

Would the Europa League be sufficient to attract the high-quality squad players your side need?

Will you be happy with King Kenny if you FAIL to make the Europa League this season? Will you call for the owners to replace him?

4O mill gets you one great player , its hard to sign one if your not playing CL football . Not knocking you but the last 80 mill or so didnt get you too far .

Trophy would be nice this year seeing as we are the favourites in a final. Anything more would be a bonus, of course Europa League comes with winning the Carling Cup. Ideally pipping Arsenal and Chelsea to 4th and winning the FA Cup as well would be great. Realistically I think 6th place, Carling Cup and I don't think the FA Cup is unrealistic either.

I will be happy, as I am now, with my team/squad/club trying their best to be as successful as possible, with everyone singing from the same song sheet and for us to get as much points as possible, then see where we end up. jimmyTheRed

I would be happy with the Carling Cup and a 5th-7th spot.

I wouldn't.

The Carling Cup would be good for one thing and one thing only - to install confidence. Belief that we can then push on and grab that fourth spot, which, if we are honest, has always been the aim for this year.

A cup is a bonus, and it will be great to win something again, but 4th is priority and let's not pretend it isn't.

Its not out of the question that Liverpool do in fact finish 4th . Winning the CC is great but i think some of you underestimate how important qualifying for the CL really is .

As a spurs fan we could use the exact statement . Agree 100% .

Well a cup run and fourth would be awesome considering where we were. However, 5th and a cup is an improvement and we may have to suck it up and buy a couple of players to rtn to champs league footy next season.

Its far to close to call this season and we are dropping points all over the place...so who knows.

I've never agreed with this sentiment.

In my book, trophies make a club/team successful.

The CL is an amazing competition but give me a trophy any day over simply being part of it - a la Chelsea, Arsenal and spurs

Can you imagine telling the grandkids that you won this trophy and that trophy.

compare that to telling grandkids, we were in the group stages of CL and we never won but we were there.

Trophies - any day of the week

And I'm sure all those spurs players will be celebrating those 2 or 3 'top four finish' trophies at the end of their careers?? Just like stevie said, he wants trophies and medals from his career, but then I guess (aside from the PL) he has won everything there is, as well as playing in the CL for many years, so I guess he can afford to say that.

Football players want silverware, and as a fan, so do I.

I wonder if anyone has considered if we are ready for the champions league just yet? I would not swap a carling cup medal for 6 tedious group matches against the likes of CLUJ, and then elimination.

We can still get both.

I'm greedy and i want both, whether we will get it is obviously open to question.

We haven't won a trophy since 2006 and I see the league cup final game being absolutely crucial in shaping our fortunes on and off the pitch.

For Livepool, 6 years is far to long.

This season, I would take the trophy.
