I have been dismayed by Patrice Evra's glaring mistakes in the past few games, leading to dropped points or even defeats.
I'm delighted to see that there are other perceptive viewers of football out there who share that view:

Evra becoming a liability for Man Utd
Yet, increasingly, Evra struggles to defend with any consistency. He can be exposed by an intelligent, counter-attacking team, and has lost the sharpness that was the hallmark of his play, on arrival from Monaco six years ago.
It is not enough to excuse him on the grounds that defending well is an optional extra for the modern full-back. You might as well allow a baker to get away with burning his bread. Opponents are targeting Evra, because they sense an opportunity in his dulled reflexes, and occasional clumsiness.

He is leaving us a bit short at the back, maybe because our left wing has hardly had penetrative player playing there due to injuries, his attacking is fine but that leaves us a little weak at the back.

I am sorry the author is "dismayed" at Paddy's performances, hope it doesn't keep him up at night, tossing and turning.... I fear it does.
United forever, let's have that lot tomorrow.

Evra performance of late can't be utterly to be bad, compared to the liability we are having in Cole's current form. The worrying team is that, they can never be drop when fit and you can never know when they will deliver. They are just living on past glory. I think is time for manutd and chelsea to drop Evra and Cole respectively

Good point, but as the article's author has said, a defender's main job is to defend. He might be good at attacking, but if he can't do his main job properly, then you have to question his worth...

Should have either in his pocket. It's Dirk Kuyt that I'm worried about!
