It's down to The Manager how a team plays. That's why I don't blame the players. They stroll around the pitch, passing from player to player in midfield, awaiting an opening which never comes, because they give the opposing defence too much time to organise. Then they give the ball away! There's no fizz in their play.
When the opposition get the ball, it's biff, bang thank you maam. From one end of the pitch to the other, in seconds.
I felt that Arsenal were playing last night, as if they were on a training session. No passion, no fight, no real effort. A disgrace really.
I simply cannot believe that Arsenal still cannot defend. Still give the ball away cheaply. And still stroll around the pitch as if they were on a Sunday walk.
Whose fault is all that? The coaching and the style of play devised by Arsene Wenger.
And what about The Board of old men? What about The Owner who seems anonymous? What's the real story on transfer policy?
Arsenal, at the moment seem to have a broken Manager and a broken Board of Directors. And players who deserve better from the coaching staff. Things can be changed; but change must happen at the top. The status quo is no longer acceptable.
When a company becomes complacent and doesn't change, it loses market share. We were humiliated last night , just like we humiliated Milan not so long ago - because complacent Management has rubbed off on our team.
Milan has proved however, that humiliation can be temporary and that the situation is retrievable for Arsenal; but not IMO, under the current Management.

OP ...Great article my sentiments entirely.
Lady you are so wrong. Our style of play has been wrong for far too long and it IS down to the manager/ coaching staff.
We either need to bring in new coaches with new ideas / techniques or if he refuses to accept other people's advise then it is time for A.W to move on.
I am totally fed up with our slow build up play which leads to nothing then the opposition knock the ball over the top of an invisible defence and score.
How many times are we going to get caught this way before the penny drops with our coaching staff ?
