41 years if I heard right on Newsline there(£8.2m). Money for the Glens new gaff (required) down by the Titanic (ArfArf) and 'millions' for Derry Citys Brandywell
I should really be directing all my ire towards the Blues but I can't help but wonder why Derry should get millions from the IFA?
Anyway, there's another 41 years of tainted titles and cups for the Blues. Well done
I heard all this on the hop so I would be happy for any corrections.
Linfield 200k a year.

To be given a 200k head start every season rankles a wee bit Lisburn. Just a wee bit mind you..
The Derry City money, I will put my house(s) on being due to the Brandywell hosting some NI U21 and other underage NI matches. Shrewd move if true due to Derry leaking the most players to ROI but shrewd and thinking outside the box is not something I would usually attribute to the IFA(or any other FA for that matter)

The Derry money is a bit unfair on the rest of the Irish League clubs trying to improve their own facilities to make a dying League more attractive. I'm not saying they shouldn't get anything, but the money should be shared out a bit more evenly surely ? I'd say the other Airtricity clubs who'd like to improve facilities but get rebuffed by the Republic's government will be up in arms over it too.
Sure nobody is going to watch the Blues anymore either Gibbo, I think the penny is finally dropping with many when they see double after double after double.

POEB I will sit behind the goals this weekend again due to the big stand being buggered but the Brandywell will be getting done up like a dogs dinner. I think my reply to Lisburn above may prove correct. The IFA are doing the Brandywell up so as to have a few NI underage games there and stop the rot. The IFA are infatuated with the international game. Fluck the rest of us.
First home game in what seems like years this weekend, would be even better if Boycie had hit the net instead of just looking good against you lot
Reds 3-1 Blues.
They really are a bad lot and chunk will go down as a managerial genuis when he clearly isn't. That sickens me.

I can see your point with regards to your ground. You also have a situation where an Irish Premier League club (Carrick Rangers) are barred from playing games in their own town because their ground is not up to scratch. Surely the decision makers in that particular NI Assembly dept and the IFA should be looking after their own league clubs first ?

if I heard right on Newsline
-------------------------------------------
Questionable reporting from so called responsible journalists. A big day for the club, the supporters and Eddie personally, and all the BBC wanted to do was keek stir and bring up the "cricket ball incident" that happened years ago. We should think about a media blackout if this nonsense continues, we can see their agenda.

Have been down this road many many times and still cant understand whats the problem with Linfield receiving rent money for loaning their facilities.
Makes sense for everyone.
Glens getting a new Stadium is great but must rankle with the other clubs that Derry are receiving IFA money.
Maybe the rumours are true and they are on their way back to our League.
Gibbo thought that a lot of the excellent work around Solitude had come from Government money in one form or another.
And believe that work at Taylors Avenue is not yet complete therefore Carrick cannot move in yet.

You're right Earl. Taylors Avenue is a mess at the minute. They dug it up, let some motor sport on it, let it grow out (weeds up to your waist) and then did eff all for ages.
I know they were supposed to get that plastic pitch but nothing seems to have been done since that fell through.

Gibbo, the reason Derry are getting money is because it isn't the IFA's money, its money ring fenced for soccer from the public purse.
Earl, I'd say the problem is that Linfield as owners of Windsor should've kept the ground up to scratch for international football, they didn't, repairs and upgrades were generally paid with money form elsewhere.
The original agreement should've be torn up and NI should've moved to Long Kesh as Linfield as landlords did not fulfil their part of what was, let's face it, a rather dodgy deal to start with. What happens instead? Linfield, already the biggest most successful club in Ireland get a nice new stadium to play in and a 200 grand start on their rivals every season.

Well I assuming it'll be a full refurbishment Alex and not just sticking another new stand up?!
