Neil Lennon in Windsor Park.

I just read an article on the BBC website that reported Neil Lennon was at Windsor Park last night. With quotes from Lennon saying it was no big deal.

I'm a Celtic fan by birth right but have dropped any real fanatic following for at least 10 years. And if truth be told I'm not even a Lennon fan (read his autobiography and if he was a chocolate bar he'd eat himself) but I have to give credit were credit is due. He showed a lot of big ones heading in to that cauldron to cast his eye over a few of his players.

Fair play Lennon.

Personally I think Neil Lennon, as anyone else, should be able to visit Windsor Park or even Windsor Castle if he wants.

That it is a news story at all is a sad reflection on the "less enlightened" members of some football fans groups.

Wonder if wee Neil got a hot dog with the pink sauce at half-time? Its been 10 years since he had one ,he must have been gaggin for one.

DavieCooper, In fairness it got much less attention here than the visit of the Sinn Fein Sports Minister Caral Ni Chuilin to Windsor Park or the visit of DUP First Minister Peter Robinson to a Gaelic Football match in Armagh some months and weeks back respectively.

Did he take his seat before the national anthem?

Good to see he visited Windsor! Terrible that it happened to begin with and that he ever had to leave. I hope he'll have been impressed by the changes and overall improved atmosphere for all who attend since he was last there though.

-----------------------------
I expect he took his seat before his country's national anthem. I expect he respected his country's national anthem as he stood with his teammates before every game, listening to it.

Maybe you should start thinking about the football matters and leave the sectarian matters to other sites?

^^^^^^
You will need to explain to me how a national anthem is sectarian? In any other part of the part it is seen as a celebration of ones identity
