''MUFC are in decline''!

It's interesting that we often hear or read the above line (article title) mostly from fans of the teams who have recently undergone declines. LFC (obviously 20 years now), Arsenal (8 years now), and Chelsea! (I think a steady decline since 2008 even though they did win the double in 2010).

When will these fans learn that things like this have a good way of coming back to haunt them! LaLAC

We should enjoy the new competition that is MCFC, because it probably won't last long (5 years or so I think). After that we will watch their decline as the ego's tighten their grip on the club (for proof see Tevez!).

Interestingly enough, MUFC are the exception to such cycles, because we are an exceptional club. It's not arrogance, we're just.. better

It's good when you write a WUM article and fans of other teams stay clear of it. It means you know they know you are right

LFC, closer to relegation than 1st
Chelsea, closer to just this year promoted Norwich and also West Brom than 1st
Arsenal, now moved into their new home.. safely within the shadow of Spurs, that team we always beat

When we take your title off you at stade municipale in April,I suspect you won't be thanking us too much

Paul why won't you understand the title is staying at home in Old Trafford, stop dreaming of things or you'll turn into a Liverpool fan

But is it feasible Arab, that the Bertie's will bottle it to a greater extent than AFC and LFC do annually? That I gotta see...

I agree with this as long as Fergie is here. When he leaves, that will be the true test. Will we be able to continue to challenge, rebuild and then challenge again? If our owners appoint the right man and do not run the club like Roman, then yes. The worry is finding someone who can do this and stay for the long haul. I have my worries.

MUFC are in decline. Have been ever since 1995, Alan Hansen was the first person to publicly state this

Seriously, its amazing how Fergie can keep going without ever reaching his sell-by-date. I'm sure rival fans grudingly respect him in their own way.

Shouldn't he have retired 10 years ago? What United could have become without him;

There's got to be a dusty portrait in his attic that must be a good 500 years old.

(WTF?: google Dorian Gray.)

it's funny how we've been in decline for the last 10 years or so and yet we're still challenging for the title every season.
