Arsenal 3-0 Milan

Guarantee you Arsenal will somehow get it to 2-0 against a disinterested Milan side and will score another in the final seconds allowing the media to beat their chest and glorify another heroic failure.

Just like Spurs coming from 4-0 down to LOSE 4-3 to Inter Milan

Just like Man Utd in the 2000 coming back from being totally and utterly outclassed by Real Madrid to get it back to LOSE 3-2. Same thing happened against the same opposition in 2003.

I believe we hold the biggest qf and semi-final champions league record. The longest home winning run. The longest unbeaten run. We lead the uefa coefficient table for 2-3 years before our defeat to basel. Giggs is oldest player to score in CL.

During the Champions League era, Manchester United holds the record by beating Schalke 04 6-1 (2-0, 4-1) in 2010–11.

The largest margin of victory in the knockout stage in the current Champions League format is 7–1:

Manchester United beat Roma in the quarter-final in 2006–07
Bayern Munich beat Sporting CP in the first knockout round in 2008–09
The largest margin of victory in the current Champions League format is 10–0:
Manchester United beat Anderlecht 10–0 in 1956–57

The teams closest to defending the trophy in the Champions League era, all making it to the final:

Milan in 1994–95
Ajax in 1995–96
Juventus in 1996–97
Manchester United in 2008–09

Longest away undefeated run

The record for the longest away unbeaten run stands at 16 games and is held by Manchester United

Longest undefeated run

The record for the longest unbeaten run stands at 25 games and is held by Manchester United.

Consecutive home wins

Manchester United hold the record of consecutive home wins in the Champions League. They have 12 consecutive home wins which was achieved when they defeated Barcelona 1–0 on 29 April 2008. This run was ended with a 0–0 draw against Villarreal on 17 September 2008.

Not bad I say.

5 1* and I get the correct result.

Watch the papers come out tomorrow glorifying Arsenal's brave performance and totally ignoring the fact that they are out and got spanked 4-0 not too long ago.

How many headings will include "Brave Arsenal" tomorrow?

I'll give you 5 for the correct prediction.

The 4-0 loss was a terrible performance and we rightly for stick for it, we played a great game today so deserve praise. But it wasn't enough and we're out.

8Bit,

As I've said before, true fans like yourself are very grounded with their opinions of the side, my issue is only with the media.

I've always had a soft spot for Arsenal and would love to see them winning trophies again.

i went to the 4-3 RM game at OT. It was notable to me for a couple or reasons.

I saw the best player in the world score one of the best hat tricks I have seen.

I saw Louis Figo take the pi55 out of United.

I saw David Beckham seething in the knock up before the game.

I saw Dietmar Hamann's live half time interview for RTL TV in front of the Stretty get abandoned half way through due to the abuse he got.

I saw the second best ovation for an away substitution I have ever seen at OT (Fat Ronaldo)

I saw the worst (and best) ovation for an away substitution I have ever seen at OT (Steven McManaman)

memorable night
