New Broom.

There's no doubt that our new broom has swept through the place like a tornado. To further mix the metaphors and similes let's hope that he hasn't thrown any babies out with the bathwater.
It's going to be a huge ask to make all the recruits jell into a winning team; and that's what they must do. It's not like Glos CCC where there was also a big clearout. The pre-season friendlies will have added significance as these players strike up understanding with one another. Should be interesting to watch.
When we have our first home match against Torquay Nick Day will have to start his team introductions at 2.30 as he starts each one with, "And give a welcome to...................starting his first match here at the Memorial Stadium, the home of the famous blue and white quarters."
Any statto should be looking up when a team last started a season with a line-up completely different from the one which finished the previous season.
I'm excited but a little worried. The stakes are high and we have to hit the ground running.
Buckle has surrounded himself with his own team. Fair enough, but I thought Len Bond was doing a good job...it wasn't the goalies who let us down last season! I hope Phil Kite is still around come the new season.
