Wrestlemania - Probable Results

Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes – Hasn’t been made official yet but it looks a banker. As Cody Rhodes has made perfectly clear over the last few weeks, the Big Show hasn’t got the best record at Wrestlemania – and this is probably the key reason why Big Show will be victorious in this years event. It might be just me but I think giant wrestlers in the mould of show should always be heels. You look back at Andre and Gonzales and they were feared. The Big Show needs a heel turn and a push. Result – Big Show win

Team Long vs. Team Laurenitus – These gimmick matches only ever go one way but johnny is flavour of the month - win for team johnny with del rio getting the pin

CM Punk vs. Jericho – Jericho will have his day in due course but it won’t be at this years Wrestlemania. Punk certainly wouldn’t want to put Jericho over after all the effort he has put in over the last 12 months. This match is for wrestling fans and not a title change. Result – Punk win

Bryan vs. Sheamus – For me, this is the hardest match to call on the bill but if you use your head then you can’t see anything but a win for the Great White. His stock is very high after the Rumble win and is one of the few wrestlers that get a huge pop from the crowd. He has got all this momentum behind him and I think it would be bad for business to have him lose at Mania. Sheamus was given the WWE title far too early and the belt lost it's worth but giving him a run of the heavyweight gives him that big name push that will justify his title reigns. Plus, I think AJ will play a big part in Bryans defeat. Result – Sheamus win

Rock vs. Cena – Can’t wait for this as the crowd will be explosive. Rocks hometown (correct me if I’m wrong) so the contrast of cheers and boos will make great television. I think the result is a banker. A bit like the Punk match, I can’t see Cena putting in years of work only to lose the biggest match of his career to a former star – again... poor business sense. The Rock had his win over Hogan so there’s no chance in hell he’ll win this one too. Result – Cena win (expect a handshake at the end of match)

Undertaker vs. HHH – Is anyone else disappointed in HBK returning as special guest referee? I am as it means only one thing – no clean victory. You wouldn’t expect to have a special guest referee to come in and call it right down the middle – what would be the point of that? That leaves two options, HBK will assist HHH in defeating the Undertaker or HBK will stop HHH from winning as it would make HHH look superior for finishing what Michaels couldn’t do. The latter makes more sense and there is no point ending an incredible streak in such a poor manner. Result – Undertaker win

P.s Also heard a crazy rumour that HHH will sustain an injury in the match and will ask HBK to carry on – HBK going on to beat the Undertaker at the third attempt – I would actually love this.

anyway, these are just my predictions but either way - can't wait

Do you agree/disagree with my predictions?

Feel free to post your own

So 6 matches on the card now.

Should've put Orton into the World Title match and allowed Kane to squash Ryder.

Having Kane vs Orton devalues both, much like Punk/Orton last year. I honesty don't see why they bothered giving Kane back his identity, he's still playing the same glorified jobber. And what's the point of having Orton be this rampaging face when he has no momentum??? Horrid booking that. Rest of the card looks alright though.

Orton too injury prone in the lead up to WM so couldn't really be involved elsewhere. They don't really know what to do with Kane after using him to build-up Cena. A last minute feud/addition to the card.

There's only really one direction Kane could've gone after Cena, but HHH bagged Taker's 20th match at Mania so that door closed quickly. The only other opinion was like i said, have him destroy Ryder, which would've at least kept him looking strong for his next scheduled job.

As it is, i don't see Orton's inevitable win giving him any momentum. The only possible way that can gain anything from that match beyond killing air time, is a carven copy of Kane's feud with Cena except he succeeds in drawing the heel back out of Orton. Which although would be great in theory, would come across as lazy and half baked by the writing team.

A great read and agree with most of what you say. I reckon one of those two rumours you stated will come true (it wouldn't make sense for them both to be true) and I hope it is the previous victims all come along as lumberjacks and to give taker a big applause when he overcomes triple h. unsure what part hbk will play though, really unsure. This is what the creative team do well these days, they are very unpredictable and start playing out storylines that seem impossible to keep up
