His performance yesterday was nothing short of spectacular. I defy anyone to point out a more brilliant and honest English wide player in world football at the moment, I think you’ll find it’s completely impossible.
I can’t hold back my admiration and wonderment any longer. I just stood in awe at this magnificent little Englishman marching around the Emirates like he owned the place.
He single handedly demolished one of the best team’s in the Premier League, brushing them away like a fat man pushing aside the salad and going straight for the steak. I have not seen a better footballing master class in the last 25 years of English football.
Even Alan Pardew, one of the best up and coming mangers of his generation just stood there bemused and perplexed. How do I stop this guy he thought? The answer is simple Alan, you can’t.
If that’s not the sign of a top player then slap me around the face with a Banjo Catfish and call me Daisy. Just imagine Barcelona or Real Madrid with Theo, it would be a terrifying thought for all those teams.
With Lionel Messi describing him as one of the most dangerous players to have ever played against, and manager Pep Guardiola declaring ‘you need a pistol to stop him’ it is becoming clear his reputation is increasing and it wont be long until Manchester City put in a £80 million bid.
Like a well matured French wine Paul Scholes got better with age. Similar to caviar Christiano Ronaldo was expensive, but very classy. While our very own Theo ‘The Doner kebab’ is not everyone’s cup of tea but is sure to give you the run around.
Theo Walcott super fact of the day:
Champions league goals
Theo Walcott – 10
Stuart Downing – 0
Aaron Lennon – 0
Winning all the way to greatness against all odds.
Super Theo

WHEN YOU HAVE TO MAKE THE OPPORTUNITIES HAPPEN YOURSELF.

And apart from Messi who does? C.Ronaldo, Benzema and Higuain were criticized heavily last year as overpriced flops. This year they have team and look like the money Real Madrid paid for them. In fact Henry was 'laughed' out of Turin at the same age.
Of course there is a tinge of sarcasm in the original post. But Theo is the most dangerous English wide attacker and is developing just like Henry did.

Ronaldo was deemed a flop? In what universe?

In most Madrid fans' opinion at the end of last year. He was accused of being a flat track bully and never being able to do it in the big game. Unlike Messi.
This was of course till Madrid starting playing better against Barca and C.Ronaldo scored against them. Now look at the team that Mourinho has pulled together. I know some people have a memory of a flea but its not very hard googling it. Thats why C.Ronaldo started talking about returning and the love he used to have for Man Utd.
All attacking players are very dependent on how well the central midfield plays. Its very difficult to influence playing schemes from the wing or in isolated attack.

I thought he already dismissed that myth when he scored in the Champions League final?
Before that Spanish Cup final game he must have had 70 something goals in 70 something caps. In no way, shape or form could that ever be considered a flop, and anyone thinking that has to be a little bit stupid.

No you don't follow what I am saying, I mean laid on a plate for him, that is what is required with Walcott.

Henry !

I suppose you are too young to remember Henry. He was getting pelters from the crowd when he joined us.
Henry was called a complete flop at Juve. He was played on the wing and sold a year for the same price they bought him for at just 22. And Juve were overjoyed that they got their money back.
If you think that the chances Theo created were laid on a plate for him why didn't Oxlade do anything? Or Gervinho for that matter when he came on?
I am sorry you don't like Theo. But football is not a vanity contest. its about being effective in the team and contributing to wins. Theo has done that more than anyone in our team apart from RVP. Its the only reason we are now looking comfortable for a CL place.

No it isn't, his performance was good and he really looked up for it, but he is often like that when we completely dominate the opposition as we did for most of the game against Newcastle. The problem comes when our midfield is struggling a bit and there is much less service - in other words WHEN YOU HAVE TO MAKE THE OPPORTUNITIES HAPPEN YOURSELF.
Let's see how he gets on against Everton, I doubt we will have as much freedom at Goodison Park, he might be useful on counter attack, it depends how well they defend - and how well our midfield plays.

My Favorite bit of your post, is when you failed to see the sarcasm in OP.

Robin - fair point well made - I've read it all now - previously after the first paragraph I thought it so $hite I stopped reading !
The problem is a lot of people on here actually believe that first paragraph

No worries. To be fair most the arsenal fans think theo is rubbish. Personally I think he's a decent player on his day, that's about it really.
