Sheffield Utd play their game in hand at Colchester tonight, and we are hoping, for one match only, that Colchester rattle in some goals.
This would leave Town 4 points behind 2nd with a game in hand, so potentially just 1 point adrift..
having expended all their energy and suffered a couple of key injuries, we then hope Colchester collapse when they 'entertain' Town on Saturday.
If things go to plan. the next crucial date would be Tues 20th, when Town make the shortish trip to Chesterfield and Sheffield Utd take on vastly improved Notts County.
That 'could' set us up for a bumper game against Charlton, who hopefully will be within sight of the Terriers by tea time on the 24th.
That's the plan anyway.
Sort of forgetting Sheffield Wed of course, but you've got to be optimistic haven't you.
With games quickly running out, we'll have just 7 left by the end of March, now is the time to start a winning sequence.
I'll just go and get my prayer mat...

I have got to the point now, where I no longer get excited at Sheff Utd dropping points. It has been proven recently, we just don't have the quality to take advantage. I hope I am proved wrong, but can't see anything other than a defeat this weekend.
