Credit to Chelsea

That was a great fighting display and the old heads came through when it mattered most. Sure they have a in decline, destructive squad and will most likely get hammered by whoever they face next and possibly but tonight is their night. Though I do hope they somehow go all the way and win it as I liked how RDM and the chelsea players celebrated with joy at the end.

i don't know what was more cringeworthy, tyldesley's commentary or chelsea's choreographed 'atmosphere'. and chelsea won't get as naive a referee in the latter stages. but other than that, yes, credit to chelsea.===========

You just cant bring yourself to give credit can you

Napoli really should have qualified. They were the better side over the two legs. I know people say 'well you need to put your chances away', and to a certain extent I agree. But Napoli have outplayed both English sides they've faced this season. Very good side.

A comment that just reinforces the notion that Manu fans are the least knowledgeable football fans on the planet

I actually disagree, Chelsea were far more better after 20 or 30 mins into the game. 2nd half was all of them just attacking and also defending well at times from crosses into the box and they was more clinical at the end of the day.

Which part of the comment?

I agree for parts of the game Chelsea were very good and they created and took their chances. However, I am saying over the two legs, on the balance of play and chances made, Napoli were the better side. Obviously the best side does not always win.

We had a hell of a lot of chances in the first leg, in all honesty i would say chances wise it was equal over the two legs. Overall i'd also say we just edged it, we battered Napoli in the 2nd half at their place. In both first half's though they were dominant

Credit to CFC for that performance. Great match for the neutral too.

Always want an english side to progress once UTD are out.

However if I was a CFC fan I would be PEED offf big style. Why?

Because tonight you saw the real CFC, and its obvious to me that AVB wasnt liked and as in the past certain players would rather oust a man they dont like and let the fans down than win and play like tonight

CFC fans will hate me for this, but JT is poison for you gys in terms of trophies.

No way tonights CFC would be where they are in the league

How can anyone say Napoli were the better team over the 2 legs?! They edged the first leg but got destroyed Jaipur night. It could and should have been 6 or 7. Overrated team. Even now, after being schooled last night it appears.

In fairness, Napoli (Cavani in particular) had chances to kill the tie off, they didn't, form there on in bar a 10 minute spell in the second half Chelsea were the better team. Fair play to 'em, should always support fellow English teams in Europe imo.

Enjoyed the game, really well played and good luck Chelsea - althought the Drogba facial injury [?] and machine gunned fall was bad enough but the sly one eyed peep to check on proceedings early in second half ET all caught on camera took the biscuit. Ok - I know we've all got our share of oscar nominees and it's unfortunately seems generally accepted as part of the game but it's always baffled me why do such a gifted players have to try to gain advantage at any cost. It only annoyed me more so than usual last night beacause my 10 year old nephew and his pal were watching with me - and what do you say ?
