For once I agree with sir_neutral, it's becoming ridiculous man utd winning the league season after season. People talk about la liga being 2 team league, well prem is more like 1 team league!

Sir Chronic

Lennon is one of those players who is what I would call a headless Chicken

Headless Chickens do not get to play 300 games at only 25 years of age.

And for what it is worth you have just lost 50 quid.

Will see shall we I mean how many points were spurs clear of Arsenal

Same points Arsenal have the easier finish and spurs are known fir bottling it I mean look how many points they were clear of spurs at one stage

Chronic such a class poster, he sums it up basically and it's pathetic how many people underrate this current United side. It's got talented youngsters and experienced players who've been there before and they can influence it on the new lads. We lost in Europe this season because of SAF. Simple as that, he tinkered too much and played shocking tactics so we deserved to go out. As for Bilbao, they'd comfortably give any top 5 team a game in the league. I don't know why we're being mocked for losing to them, they hadn't pressed us like that since Barca in the CL final.

5 more dangerous right wingers?

Navas
Di Maria
Robben

All I can think of, players like Shaquiri dont deserve that appraisal yet.

Malouda's the best winger in the world every one knows that, any one who disagree's will be banned by admin1.

Sir_Chronic.

Whilst, I agree they have some good players, you are going a bit over the top. They have been pretty well outplayed by every European team they have played this season.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

You might want to check your facts, as I do believe that you would find that prior to the knockouts only Barcelona had better stats that Man United. In the group stages I only remember Man United being outplayed in patches away to Basel and away to Benfica....all others United were dominant. In the EL I would give you Athletic but it still negates your point that United was outplayed by every team.

In other news La Liga is also weak as a team struggling to 5th in what is a sub standard premier league finished 1st in their group whilst the side 3rd in La Liga went out 3rd in that group...

Although that team Valencia did beat Atletic Bilbao, so it must be

Chelsea > Valencia > Bilbao > Man Utd

Or maybe some of you should pay attention to the fact that Bilbao save up all their energy for the big games, gave Barcelona a great game, covered the most distance of any side at Old Trafford for 10 years..

Then went and got thrashed by a Valencia team that are nothing by European standards.

Sometimes I swear some of you just read the papers occasionally and don't actually know a thing about football, op seems a prime example of this.

Also you clearly haven't actually watched United in Europe. Only Bilbao have actually outplayed us. Admittedly I didn't watch our home game against Basel but from what I heard we were dominating the game and relaxed at 2-0 down. Away against Basel we actually had more of the game and were unlucky to lose, Basel basically scored with their first shot (we were dominating until then) and Jones scored an own goal as well (this is a team that outplayed and beat Bayern at home)

We outplayed Benfica in their own ground, it was a fairly close game but we had the majority of the game and they were perhaps fortunate to win.

This is forgetting Ajax and Otelul who we beat, in fairness the home tie against Ajax wasn't taken too seriously...

The prem has always been overhyped thats what the media in this country do to promote the likes of sky sports.

Utd are in the running every season yet are nowhere near as good as barca. We do the same with our players, Rooney is a good example. World class ?? No chance. He would not get in a world X1 full stop. Same with Bale and Gerard but still the hype goes on and still the gullible english believe it.

Technically the spanish and dutch have been streets ahead of us for years. Why do you think we are never real threats in the WC ?

The prem may be the most exciting to watch because it is what we are used to. Most other european clubs all try to play football wheras we have a variety over here.

Stoke and Blackburn will rough teams up and snatch victories even tho they are a lesser side. Sunderland and Everton will work like crazy, its all these variations which make it exciting and hard to predict.

Exciting yes, quality football then no.

Go thru the list of totally boring games that occur in the prem. Bolton v Wolves ? Blackburn v QPR ? Wigan versus anybody.

The only people who consider it the best league in the world are the british media and those that are brainwashed by that media.

Exciting ? yes but only if you are a fan of one of the clubs. Spurs v Blackburn for instance will be as exciting as watching paint dry unless you are a Spurs or a Blackburn fan.

Surely the Chelsea v Spurs game a couple of weeks ago proved that. Jesus I have had more exciting times at the dentist

..........................

Wouldn't that be the same in every other league in the world?

Meaning la liga is average and the rest are poor?!

Besides over the last 5 years United are the only ones anywhere near Barcelona in terms of European record.

............................
Rooney is a good example. World class ?? No chance.
..........................

It depends on your definition of world class, if you restrict it to Messi and Ronaldo only then yes, but that definition is well too strict for my liking. If you use that system then Marradona is the only world class player ever to have played and retired...

Which is obviously rubbish.

So widening the list out to include lesser players (because Ronaldo and Messi are beyond world class imo) Rooney is probably one of the first to come in, outside of the two already mentioned is there really a better striker in the world?

Gerrard was world class in his prime... Bale will be.

The rest is you just picking boring teams in the league and describing how they are boring, news flash, every league in the world has rubbish boring teams you would rather not watch and they can't all be poor.

Lastly Bale actually got into a UEFA XI but I guess they are just stupid foreign people tricked by our impressive media

What does it say exactly...

I have yet to see huge talk of the declining Bundesliga whilst Dortmund (Best team in Germany according to the league) did even worse than United in their group. Knowing your a Leeds fan I am guessing it was just a cheap shot though...

How have you been enjoying Leeds European campaigns last few years?

Were you even in Europe... or the Premiership?

United look very likely to win the Premiership and Leeds are just a mediocre Championship side.

It was, you were just going for a cheap shot so I replied with one.

I also gave a response on the off chance you were actually discussing the topic but unsurprisingly it was the cheap shot you were actually going for.

No, after reaching 3 out of the last 4 finals of the CL (going out to finalists when we did go out because of a red card and away goals) you were willing to accept slip ups. Especially when you have a league title to cushion the blow (which looks likely)
