A two-week prison sentence and a £500 fine. They're really quite strict on these things.

A1 - my boss keeps piling work on me. He's sees that I'm busy but always comes and tries to give me stupid jobs with no importance. He is always coming up with stupid ideas and then I am the one who comes out looking stupid as I initiate them. He asks me to order things from other companies, I order them, then he doesn't confirm, nor pay it, then I look stupid again, when people keep calling asking if we want the stuff. He then will ask me to order from them a month later. I'll tell him but we have an order with them and they're still waiting for payment, he'll say no, no change it, this will go on for another few months and finally he'll cacel it, which again makes me look stupid.

Advise me A1!

TOOR, why don't you before you order, get him to sign/autograph the sheet confirming the purchase.

He does that, the problem is, he changes his mind throughout the day everyday and companies are fed up with it and before processing our order, demand payment first. This means until he puts the payment through, I can't do anything and the vicious circle continues.

TooR - next time he does it, grab him & staple his tie to your desk. Then tell him that you don't need any help making yourself look a tool, as you're quite capable of doing that all on your own

I can't quite work out if I'd come out looking more of a fool if I did that or not.

Failing that, dope him, throw him in the back of a Transit, take him to some deserted lock up, where you can 'work on him' with a rusty hacksaw. Dispose of the evidence at various different locations & then forge his signature on the cheques.

Job sorted, that'd learn him

He really has problems. They guy can remember a phone number giving to him a few months previous but forgets other more important things and just messes everything up. I think he has OCD, alzheimer's and whatever Rainman had, all at once.

He can't be that bad to work for though, given that he pays you to post on here for half the day

I have to come on here. If I don't I'll go insane. The stress levels rise and I have to release it somehow. I took up smoking again but it only works for about 5 minutes.

I gave them up years ago when it went from having to take one for £10 to 10 for £30. Also i gave up the music, so no point in them anymore.
