Giroud >> Podolski

He's a great finisher. He's not the quickest though, the guy is an absolute giant, he wins everything in the air!

I'm telling you, he's a younger and left-footed version of Ibrahimovic.

I just can't see how he would fit in at arsenal. We aren't going to change formation, we always will play with the 1 striker. He isn't going to be contempt with a place on the bench, if Van persie stays and carries on this form to next season then he won't make the first eleven. Podolski makes more sense because he can play on the wings.

^^ yep, like I said, that's the only problem. If we sign him we'll have to change our system to a 4-4-2.

Maybe you could try playing him in an 8 at the back and 2 up front system?

I said that before. I don't rate Podolski that much. He has a good dynamic in front as you pointed out good left foot, doen't care about shoot from every area but dissappear on many occasions if things doesn't go his way. He failed at Bayern Munich overall (Dubbed you don't like this comparison as Ibra at Barca) but maybe it shows some are hyped up very easily.

On what I have seen of Giroud I like him. Strong, put his body in, technical good. I know that Bayern Munich is after him too.

If you ask me I would prefer him to Poldi.

If we haven't already agreed to sign Podolski, I'd much rather we went for Giroud

I'll let Arsene know.

"Giroud > > Podolski"

So Giroud is better than nothing.

Whereas nothing is better than Podolski.

I think the difference is Podolski can play on the left wing or as a back up to RVP. Giroud can play as a back up to RVP.

If Podolski is good on the wing I say get him. It'd be nice to have a striker out wide rather than a midfielder such as Arshavin.

This talk of Giroud kind of reminds me of how was all talking about Chamakh 2 years ago..

I can't do anything if idiots were creaming themselves over Chamakh. He's always been a donkey. This guy is nothing like Chamakh.

Reyes didn't work out so we shouldn't sign player from La Liga again.

It's not really the same situation though.

Giroud and both are tall targetmen. Giroud's been doing well in Ligue 1. While Chamakh was good there too.

You can't blame people for thinking it's a similar situation.

Giroud can control a football, Chamakh cannot. They're nothing like each other ffs.

Chamakh was average in Ligue 1, people were creaming over him because his team won the league. He scored like 12 goals all season. Giroud has 19 already and there's still more games.

They're completely different players though, Chamakh was still shot shy and lacked cutting edge in France as well.
